Well, its not early I would say, you see halvning is coming and at the same time there are some nice gambling sites taking shape, added to this more and more bitcoins related sites are being introduced. I think 2016 is the year that will make developing bitcoin, and bitcoin year likely will occur in 2017 may be the year, bitcoin has been accepted all over the place, and it will be new What is the basis anyway for calling it a year for bitcoin? Because if the big changes on pricing then I would say that 2016 is the year of bitcoins because the halving will take place on that year. 2017 price will be stable and more adopters will come in. You are true that in 2016 the halving will occur and a big increase in price will occur but for only this reason we cannot call it as the year of bitcoin, the year of bitcoin will be that when people start to adopt and accept bitcoin and even the banks also allow the usage of bitcoin and all over the world people are aware of this currency and start to love it. |

I think you can not call that every year is the year of bitcoin. waluapun development in each year of bitcoin is always better. but not at the price of bitcoin? bitcoin prices will always be ups and downs. so maybe just the price of bitcoin year was worse than the previous year |

Every year is bitcoins year.as long as bitcoin survives ,every year is bitcoin year. And we are lucky because bitcoin is becoming stronger year after year..
well said this is true with every year that pass btc is stronger and more adopted all over the world the more adoptions he gets everything will be good price will go up and be stable that is main reason for it yeah this is the effect of the development of bitcoin users demand more and more and also getting bigger. so you see the effect now? bitcoin prices rose and soared. This thanks to the growth of bitcoin? so every year bitcoin will get better then in 2017 bitcoin will be stronger than today  |

Yeah you are right, let's just consider every year is the year of bitcoin. Because there is always a good happening for bitcoin every year. Bitcoin never has a dull year. Actually I would even consider saying that it would be "the year of the Bitcoin" if it's price stabilizes and doesn't have crazy dips and spikes, which is considered to a lot of people being "dull"... but in order to be treated as a noteworthy "storage of wealth" there need to be a grace period where there isn't a whole lot of movement or a slow uptrend of maybe like $10-$20 over the course of the year to be considered "stabilized". Then I think a lot more people that are considered to be outsiders will start to see bitcoin as something to invest in over the long haul, like with gold, and appreciate over time. Then, and only then, you will start to see roswell capital commercials on TV (in the US) that promotes gold AND bitcoin purchasing to "prepare for retirement". |

You have the point guys, the halving is for this year and we all know that it will happen a month from now. But maybe the effect of halving, we can taste it for next year , the true results of it. But still I can say that every year is a bitcoins year so nothing to argue about this. Full result of the upcoming halving can't be determined because after all no such thing as we can see the full output of it. There are lots of things than can happened while on the road of post halving effect so in here we just have to take the ride of every price rise so that you can take all the benefits. |

The year of Bitcoin will be somewhere close to the end of the halving rewards, something like 2120. That will likely be the peak of Bitcoin if everything was to keep on growing in a linear fashion, but we'd have to see because as we all know nothing lasts forever.

I dont think at the end of this year he will be that high. So in my opinion 2017 will not be the year of the bitcoin. The future will be very pleased for the coin but i think he have to earn some more years before he is that big.

Once the price goes up, people will be persuaded to use bitcoin. If the price will continue to rise and would be stable after the halving, we are already seeing a good future for the year 2017. More stable price results more adopters. The price big fluctuation is one of the reason why some merchant are hesitant to adopt due to they are not making in trading, they just want to do business online and secure their money with the same exchange value. |

Halving is just around the corner and we are seeing the price closing in on the $600. This is 2016 and the price has already reached new highs not seen in the last 20 months or so. Jumping to 2017 would be a disrespect to how bitcoin has performed over the last six months, and how it is going to behave post-halving event.
