I have heard that about every year since 2012. According to some bitcoin should be worth $10,000 by now.  Well being 10,000$ value of bitcoin is still far on the way. But I believe that it will happen soon, we just need to believe and wait for the right time for it to happen. 10,000$ is a bit high, I would consider it to be 4-7 thousand dollars. I think that is the year of the BTC plus halving will have a great effect. The coin reward will decrease half but it may trigger the price of bitcoins to surge in some ten times also to make the year of bitcoin. The value of Bitcoin is going to be higher now and that is perfect for people who already have Bitcoin because they just have to hold it now until they have huge profit. But it should be hard to know what is going to happen with Bitcoin itself but that is just the risk that you should take. |

We just need more demands for Bitcoins and need for it to go more mainstream. The acceptance by STEAM is a good start. Bitcoins are a little geeky.
Need to focus on the mainstream audience and let them know about BTCs - When I talk about mainstream, I am talking about the people who know what is Amazon, eBay and Paypal and they are the users of such services.

Big online merchants already receives such request of adding bitcoin as payment method but demands are not that much. Most bitcoin users uses bitcoin as an investment so in here it will not much use even big merchants add it as their payment method. |

It is a silly decision, as the value is high and going to increase more because people are holfding their coins and are not selling so people are buying at higher price but if everyone started to sell their coins then in competition of first to sell everyone will dump a little bit their coins and will lose the value of their coins. |

Well bitcoin is already bigger then paypal in market cap and transaction volume. There was a nice infographic about that. But the real killer will come when bitcon becomes bigger then CC. It means more people use bitcoin then credit card and we will see bitcoin grow immensely then. But that is a plan of let's say.. a couple of years.. |

Every year for bitcoin is huge accomplishement. That it still works, expanding, growing etc. Bitcoin is like little kid, need to grow up, its on good track tho  |

Yeah, but also the Chineese markets could also be manipulating the markets and creating a bubble just like willy did over at MtGox... I just try to keep things in perspective and get very concerned when people start wafting in their own stench of success in bitcoin trading and creating big time profits for themselves. If you believe in the currency and believe in the technology behind it, by all means keep a good chunk of it (I am)... but if you are just doing it for mere speculation and getting a couple dollars here and there, then I don't envy your day job. |
