Ok, lets forget about Rijk and his personality for a while and stick to hard facts here then:
The question by the op on June 2 2016 was: "Is Gulden a good investment?"
1 BTC on June 2 2016 was worth $ 535.00, now it's worth $ 9,670. A profit of 1800%
That same BTC would have bought you 256,426 NLG (@389 sat) on that same date,
Which at current rate of 1,000 sat would give you back 2.57 BTC. A profit of 257%
Answer?: NO, if you kept your BTC you would have 7 x as much profit!
Ha haa You can't calculate, You shows that Gulden is 2,57 times more worth than that single bitcoin you started with  Cheesy
So the Gulden profit in that period is about 4700%
On june 2 2016 the Guldenprice was €0,0017
And Now it is €0,08. So a factor 47 higher
You are looking at the wrong chart 😘
Check out the euro-nlg chart. 🎉

Who cares about dirty fiat?
Haha the typical reaction of an crypto-idiot. It's only good if the BTC value of a crypto is rising? What a disaster for you this year.  Tongue
Even Rich Pissmann has admitted that the value increase of Gulden was much bigger than BTC this last year.  Grin
How can the value increase of NLG be much bigger than BTC over the last year if it's gone down like 10x certain BTC over the past year. Do you even math bro?

Your crypto-idiots cannot calculate! Blinded by Bitcoin!
I rest my case Smiley

In short: 1800% for BTC versus 4700% for Gulden, with Gulden being at it’s lowest point now and BTC at it’s highest.
Guess what I am buying! 😂🎉🚀🚀

Oh, one more thing.

GuldenTrader Exchange will go live in a few weeks. They are paying their shareholders in Gulden. Which they have to buy at the market, so less supply of Gulden.

Witnessing will start soon too -> less supply of Gulden...

And much more is going on for Gulden behind the scenes.
Only fools are buying BTC right now 🙈🔫

Gulden is also progressing well on CMC, ranked 160, with a bit more effort we can push this coin to new heights. By the end of the year with all the marketing taking place I expect a rise to rank 200 and with a lot of effort a rank of 250.

... Gulden the fastest depressing coin on coinmarketcap

If you think so, just move on and go invest in other coins.
And please do not forget to sell all your Gulden right now as you foresee nothing but a declining NLG market.
If you think so, it is better to sell your Gulden now as you think it is only going downwards in future.
Others will hapilly buy your coins at the current low prices.
And good luck with your future crypto investments.

Maybe one day. The Dutch are very nostalgic (loved the old Dutch Gulden) and IT minded people, for sure one day this Gulden will get more acceptance. And on top of that, there are currently applications being build to support the NLG for a larger acceptance and Audience.

You can see the development of the price? Gulden is not a good investment and they do not like to be critisized. Obviously the market is not impressed by their POW2...

It will go rank 200 before the update. This is where I plan to buy the bulk of my Gulden. Hold the btc and let the Gulden price collapse to 500 sat. This is a good time to buy.

gulden 4 December € 0.08
1 year ago same.
if you had invested 1000 euros, you still have 1000 euros.

btc 4 December € 10,000
1 year ago 750 euros
if you had invested 1000 euros, you now have more than 10,000 euros.

instead of btc I could also have used another coin as an example. eth, ltc, dash, ark, dcr etc etc ..
Almost all coins, because they have risen to the moon, except gulden and a few more.

That is exactly what that so-called developer Rijk Plasman understands, but tries to talk his way out of.

The bot action for Gulden has been rather harsh from what I can see. As you have rightfully said the bots aren't allowing for a fiat increase with Gulden where other coins have dropped in Sat prices but gained in $ value.

Almost like some group doesn't want this coins price to increase and if the founder doesn't care about the price it's not him doing the manipulation.

This is the future ? https://powercompare.co.uk/bitcoin/ die for Bitcoin run for oil or coal, maybe in the future will be prohibited minig Bitcoin

Of course there are better places to invest in last 11 months, each of your own decisions. There are so many different currencies in the world and they are fine.
In the virtual world there is a place for Gulden. Not everyone has to use Gulden. I suppose in the Netherlands in every town and city is from one to several dozen Gulden users. https://guldennodes.com Gulden have the opportunity to take regular payments and goes in a good direction "GREEN" not wasting so much energy. Finally a modest and decent post from a Gulden member. Factual as well!

Total energy consumption of Bitcoin is less than 6% of all energy wasted in the US alone by devices that are on standby though, so I don't really think that will ever become an issue.

I like the modest approach though, makes me feel less anarchistic  Wink

Please give link where the information comes from "6% of all energy wasted in the US alone"  because it's really interesting to predict what's going to happen in the future.

I didn't want to post this in the Gulden Announcement page to avoid bias opinions but wanted to know if Gulden is a safe bet compared to other alt coins. The reason I am asking is I noticed there ranking on coinmarketcap is way below other coins that have nothing going for them or is it that the other alt coins are way over priced?

Gulden a good investment!, Yes, Of course, "especially for a long term".
Because, Gulden a stable currencies if it compared to the bitcoin.

The stable fiat price of this coin has really impressed me. I feel I can spend Gulden without worrying that the price will drop as I purchase or move up 50% in a week and regret making a purchase. This keeps up it could become a serious alternative as a currency.

While bitcoin is a perfect investment because the supply rewards keep halving it's a huge NO NO as a currency. No one will spend their bitcoin at merchants because they worried the price will just keep increasing and if the price drops people would rather hold until the next increase.

Gulden has a real shot at becoming a currency if they can get the 0 confirms safely done and the price remains stable like this or increases slowly over time, I believe the 0 confirms is the next release after PoW2 and SegSig, with the current release having safe 1 confirm transactions?
