Would it be possible to be whitelisted? My posts aren't amazing, but I did start the discussion about the response to trolling Smiley
Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Forget the other topics, this is where the real shit happens.

I think there may be a problem with this newbie post restriction...

EDIT: Nope, I thought I had more posts than I did. I am happy this post count restriction was enacted to prevent single posters from scamming or panicking people.

I was wondering why literally minutes after making an account and making a single post I couldn't figure out how to post anymore Undecided

Same here, however I bellive that limited access for new born users will help keep this forum (and bitcoin directly) free of many troubles.

Anyway, I think admin/moderators should expand access to few more sections for new users (i.e "off-topic" subforum).

Btw, this is my first post inside this forum, so - hello all!

Someone bought about 9.5k BTC. I think this massive crash in price is due to one big sale (~24k BTC) which induced a panic. Since there are so few bitcoins available, it only takes one guy with a lot of hoarded coins cashing out to drop the price 25%, which causes everyone to freak out and sell everything. I think we will see the price stabilize in the next 24-48 hours.

Yes something had to be done, Though my posts may have an element of whimsy, I actually do trade Quartz Crystals for BTC. I have only 19 posts or so, and the restriction will prevent me from negotiating via PM, I support bitcoin and what it represents, If you are able to grant me a little slack it' would be appreciated, but a few more posts in Newbies is not much to ask.
Please Whitelist me, I have a Trade in shipment to a Moderator, I will have to make several more posts by monday when they are scheduled to receive it, and still being under restriction will hinder our communication in that regard.

Hey.. Skype Me.. Beffjaker
see my website, PM if Interested, Thanks !

Watching the bid/ask and depths and such...it seems there was 1 seller with a large block of bitcoins (about $10k worth) pushing the price down. While doing so, not many sell orders of any real size came in on the way down. So, when the price got under $11, there was, I believe, less than $5k worth of sell orders from $11 to $14.50 or so. Possible it was just 2-3 buyers that took those all out.

Watching and learning for now....pretty good entertainment and education while waiting to get funds into tradehill.

Why don't the markets do the correct and honest thing and close down on the weekends, doesnt make much since all the weekend does is drive the price down for that no one has to the cash in there accounts to buy. I know im waiting on 2k to buy but cant for my banks closed

The price sinking on the weekends is unfortunate (and frustrating) for those of us who don't have money in exchange accounts and see a great opportunity, but once we are trading I think it will be very nice to have 24/7 exchanges. It seems a lot of big trades are happening on the weekends, which means a lot of volatility. For people who are trading small amounts (<$1k) this means an opportunity to make a lot of money if played correctly.

This is ridiculous.

There wasn't even a message or anything to tell me why the reply button had vanished.

How am I going to trade with others in the marketplace now?

This forum just became useless for new posters.
