Welcome, whats your outlook on all the high risk funds drying up?

I think it's primarily based on the fact that people using bitcoin are, for the most part, fairly security conscious people, and thus, slightly risk averse.  That said, I don't see it as being a problem, because I feel it's only a matter of time before we see a new wave of high-risk, high-return funds showing up again.  After a period of conservative investing and stable returns, some people are bound to seek out something to set them ahead of others and the demand for high risk funds will necessitate a new wave of supply.

The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

Hi, I've been mining Bitcoin for a little while...

My BFL Singles arrived on July 4th, and I've been happy with my earnings in the BitMinter pool.

I found that BitMinter is the easiest way to get my BFL Singles up & running.  Smiley

Hey all! I am a game programmer who first took an interest in Bitcoin because of its algorithms. I couldn't imagine how an anonymous crypto-currency would work, so I spent days studying the algorithms for transactions and the blockchain. I became convinced not only that Bitcoin has a solid foundation but that it is an ingenious and interesting idea. I wouldn't put my life savings into Bitcoins yet, but I'm excited to see where the currency goes!

Lately I have been considering taking a more active interest in the community. I would like to get a sense of how people feel about Bitcoin and what they are using it for. My continued interest will probably lead me to contribute by helping develop open-source Bitcoin-related projects and possibly operating Bitcoin-related services.

See you around!

Hello bitcoin community. My name is Christian as you may have already guessed from my name. ive been aware of bitcoin for just over a year now however ive mostly just been silently observing and watching it grow. Im a canadian living in ontario studying at brock university, getting my business degree(third year now yay me!). i want to be a part of this community and hopefully soon enough ill make a name for myself and gain some reputation. Ive got alot of ideas about bitcoin and i can safely say my faith in bitcoin is large and i have complete confidence that this currency will one day be something that not just we can enjoy and utilize but something that the world too will use on a larger scale.

Welcome! Done any work with Torque?

Yes, I used Torque in college for one of my game programming classes. It was a bit clunky; I wouldn't want to make an entire game with it. Especially now that Unity has taken the high ground in 3d games.

ello ello. Lurker, smoker, midnight pokerer.
I've been dipping toes in the bitcoin pool for a while now. Still doing a lot of research before I commit to anything big but, so far, it's looking promising for long term investment. Short term...well...I think the last couple of days have certainly proved lively, which is not always a bad thing. Forums look slick and well run and I hope to contribute if I can.

Well I guess it's finally time.

I'm starting by building a mining rig. I'll build a ubuntu version to follow what seems to be the most prevalent documentation and then go back to my roots with a BSD flavor. LILO.... init.d; but I reminisce too much.

information wants to be free

Like a lot of the posts, been lurking for a while now. Used bitcoin for the same amount of time and I have a feeling that registering for this site should've been something I did a LONG time ago Tongue

No I do not care who any of you are. But I indeed have to post these stupid posts before I can get to say what I came here to say. 12h I asked to be whitelisted, but nooo. Even the message was not put through. Why the fuck any one has these kind of systems in place, if they are not followed.

Sorry to be blunt but, that is the reality. I'm pissed of this moronic registration system, if anyone is wondering. Sorry if I offend anyone by telling the truth.

If comforting lies are indeed needed, skip the above.

Hi there =)

My name is Gabit, I sure am jolly about bitcoin.
