Hello all,

We're Quantitative Signals Network. We operate a number of quantitative pricing models for financial markets, providing realtime intelligent analytics based on our proprietary machine learning and signals analysis platform.

We currently operate on traditional markets including FX, Equity, Commodities, and Sovereign Debt. We are expanding our models to include various BTC crosses as well as certain BTC synthetics such as the S&P Futures/BTC Ratio, Gold/BTC Ratio, etc. We will make a formal announcement about their availability as soon as these models have reached maturity.

Our client interface operates on current HTML5 browsers as a RIA over the websocket protocol, also supporting websocket-based feed clients.

Feel free to take a look at us and what we do at https://www.quantsig.net (Chrome/Firefox/Opera).

Regards,
QSN Team

Hi Jarred. I'm doing some mining too. Even if it's not very profitable it's still a way of buying coins with the money spent on the electric!

How many Mhash/sec are you getting? Are you overclocking it?

Hi everybody!

Does anybody actually read these posts? Anyway... I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Emilio and live in Argentina. I just heard about bitcoins for the first time in my life about 5 days ago. Now I'm totally, utterly and absolutely obsessed with it! I have been mining since day 2 (at a sucking rate of just ~90 MH/s) and reading everything from economics, ASICs to the history of Satoshi Nakamoto. I have no doubt that bitcoin is the future world currency! BTW, this forum is awesome!

See you around  Wink

Hi all, I'm Shane here in Europe. Very excited about Bitcoins and hoping that we can change the world with this.

If anyone hits a million and fancies sending me a coin or two that would be great :-P

Hi!  My name is TopLevel.  I am a computer engineering student with some big ideas.  I have spent a lot of time on this forum reading before I registered.

Everyone is clamoring for ASICs right now, and the community has been burned many, many times.

I have a few new (and a few recycled) ideas that I would like to discuss with the community.  Many of them involve asking the community questions about things like feasibility, getting additional opinions on my ideas, etc etc.  I know ASICs are super-hot right now, but I think I may have an idea that is the generation after ASICs.  The next-next big thing - or at least that's the dream.  ;-).

At this point in time, I am NOT here to solicit money - I'm just here to discuss things and (hopefully) contribute to the community.  That being said, if, in the future, I come to the conclusion that an idea I have is worth following through on, I may ask for money/talent or attempt to sell contracts, or see if anyone wants to take an IC contract, etc.

I have really enjoyed seeing all the support that this community gives its members, and I hope to be a productive and thought-provoking part of it.

Have a great day!

~TopLevel

Howdy!  I'm new here  Wink

I'd heard background noise about bitcoin for a few years, but it wasn't until recently, around December 2012, that I really jumped in and started getting serious about it, now I'm in love, Viva Bitcoin!

Here's my Bitcoin experience in a nutshell...
  • I bought a my first stack of Bitcoins when they were at $13, I'm happy and amazed they're currently above $70
  • I do a bit of mining
  • After visiting BFL headquarters in Kansas I decided to level up my mining operation and pre-ordered their ASIC mini-rig

I'm excited to connect with other miners, enthusiasts, and entrepreneurs as we watch, and help, bitcoin grow!

can you describe what you saw there?   how many sq ft, employees, what were they doing?

Hi there,

I'm also new and kicking myself that I didn't get invested in bitcoin when it was introduced to me last year.
Although I still don't think I'm to late to the party for a bit of investment profit  :-)

And even when the bubbles burst I still see a place for a currency free from government and financially institutions meddling. Bitcoin and Ripple have long lives ahead of them.

Hey fellow newbs and others. I am Nathan and I am trying to start mining asap with two rigs (4x5970s). I used to own an ISP, back in the 90s and have worked professionally as a CIO/CTO for the last 12 years. I don't have much experience in the desktop world, especially gaming/GPU, so this is a little new, but servers, data centers, routers, firewalls, IPT etc... and coding knowledge is deep. Hopefully with everyone's help I can get up to speed.

Hi there, you might have some luck in the freenode irc #bitcoin-dev where the development of the main client is discussed.  They should be able to speak your language and point you in the right direction.

Glad to have some tech skills incoming.  Welcome!
