Sup. I've just started getting bitcoins. I'm not mining because my setup consists of 2 laptops, one only slightly less decrepit than the other. I was totally interested in bitcoin as a currency to use and spend but then watching this forum I guess I sort of got caught up in the currency as commodity thing and also became fascinated with the way people relate to bitcoin. Honestly, I'm 1/2 totally into this and 1/2 fascinated by the strange religious overtones that've grown up around it.

Hi! I'm SeriousWorm. I love all things digital (and some analog). I've been mining for around 2 weeks now. Well, that's it for now, if you want to know more, just ask.

Hello. I found out about BTC about a week ago and became very interested. I may have heard about it some time ago, but I'm not certain. I've been lurking on the forums, reading up and whatnot. Decided to create an account because I find myself wanting to comment on a few things. Too bad I'm not a programmer because I (think) I have some good ideas! phooey. I've been mining for about a week and have 2 BTC yay. 5870 @ 360mh/s on guiminer. I'm quite curious for the future of BTC and look forward to my time here.

Hiya, i'm a barely computer literate old biddy in new york who has 2 extra computers and a son who is gonna set them up in a week or so. My friend got me interested in this and she's just set up her machines and it will be very exciting to see how she does.

I am a retired Software Engineer who started with computers using an IBM 1620 with punched cards! Judy Palen is my old Second Life avatar (from 2003!) who still shows up on various OpenSimulator Grids from time to time. We try not to talk about our half-witted cousin "Sarah" who is making all the noise these days. I suppose I must now be a "real investor" having lost more than $1M since 2008

I'm the crazed loony sitting in the dark corner clutching his Ryo-ohki plush.
Browsed through the forums, read a bit here and there. I don't have a beefy system as I am limited to a laptop for the time being. I mine using CPU because of that and am just making do with what I have for the moment. My primary rig, also a gaming rig, sits idly back in the suburbs of Boston, MA. But I have plans on overhauling the system in preparation for a big game coming October 25th.
Still new to everything. Still learning. Probably will forever be learning. I lurk and I absorb information.

Hey folks,
I'm a Canadian who has become very interested in the Bitcoin market and particularly in setting up a small bitcoin-silver exchange business online. I'm hoping to seek some input on the practicality of such a service, as well as means of making it credible, secure and efficient. I also have a stockpile of excellent double edged razor blades for "old fashioned" (see: far superior and cost-efficient) shaving and would like to sell them as well.
Looking forward to making connections.
Cheers, BTCSilver&Supply

I'm a retired (art) school teacher and rare/collectible book store owner. Over the years, I've managed to collect a pretty large collection of vintage/ historic photos that I consider somewhat of a 'time capsule' of film photography dating from the mid 1800s to the latter 1900s. As the years proceed, I deem this will become as important an era in some ways as the Renaissance period due to the fact that the digital camera changed (morphed) photography forevermore. The 'film era' will be termed a more scientific/historic era since most images were exactly what you see, nothing more, nothing less. I am now underway to determine exactly what to do with my collection and how I can begin making major profit or stipend from it and open to any/ all ideas and suggestions.

Hi,
I like the concept of Bitcoins, and I'm now mining with continuumpool. I study linguistics and I'm currently learning Japanese.
Thanks. (Trying to get my post-count to five).

Hi there,
I first heard og the concept of Bitcoins when Wikileaks officially supported donations in BTC. I like the idea and just ordered some video cards to build my own rig. Pretty interested in how things go.
Still wondering if it is better to use a pool or solo (server) mining when I have ~900Mhash/sex. How to create my own private mining pool?
Cheers End

It's always better to pool. It's more consistent, and you don't have to wait (possibly) years to see any bitcoins.
