I stumbled upon Bitcoin after reading about hackers targeting purses. Amazing how this whole world can come into being, grow, and so many like myself don't even know it exist. Of course, now I have the fever and am planning a mining rig, or two, maybe three, etc.

Hello fellow bitcoin users. I first came across bitcoin a few months ago but dismissed it as a neat idea that would never go anywhere. I then came across it again about a month ago when this latest burst of press hit, which lead me to look into it more closely. I will admit that I am now completely fascinated by this concept and its enormous potential.
My primary interest is on the merchant side. I work with an investment and consulting group whose primary focus is web based businesses. The idea of an alternative to credit cards as a form of online payment has me really intrigued. The big card companies (visa/mc/amex) essentially have a monopoly on internet payments and they've been using this monopoly power in ways that are becoming increasingly unfavorable to the merchant.
I look forward to discussing this emerging technology with this community.

Hi All,
I'm in the process of starting a BTC options exchange. I'll have more on that in a few days, and when I'm able to post in the wider forum.
Cheers

Oh, Hai Gais! I wanted to do bitcoining but all I have is a TI-84 powered by a few very young gerbils. How many MH/s can I get with it?

Hey BTCOptions, I've thought about this a good deal. How far along in the process are you? I'm very interested to hear about it. I develop with PHP, and have done significant research in options trading. PM me if you want to talk anything through. Best, Jack_Jones

In the politest way possible I suggest RTFM! ... You are considered "established" if you have spent 4 hours online and have made 5 posts. ...

Hey all. Ive recently started mining. Already had a 5850 and just ordered a 5830. I figure a $110 investment isnt a terrible risk. I like the idea of bitcoin, hope to see it take off. I'll be honest and admit that I'll be happy if I'm able to mine for a bit, collect a few coins and trade them for some hardware, but looking forward to seeing where this goes.
