The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Hello all, I'm ccatlr or just cc or Chad. Was planning to mine, but my hardware is crap, was gonna pick up piece of a BTC via paypal, but paypal is crap, and I'm trying to pickup an old t39 on the cheap on ebay.

Heard mention of services for BTC, and am not sure what I could offer, an email account at my domain (legionracing.com) which is google hosted.
 or a hostname/subdomain *.legionracing.com
 No idea really.

Domain has been around (and mine) since the InterNIC days, however long that has been.

Either way, it's all cool toys and currency down to the thousandth and beyond is neat, and precise.

Anywho, my first post, and I'm in no hurry to get out of the newbie box, it's comfy in here and they let me come and go as I please. Smiley

I am Joise.

I'm scientist and embedded systems programmer. One of
my strong interests is numerical digital signal processing,
for example multidimensional statistical tracking.

Read about Bitcoin three weeks ago in the Spiegel zine. Think it's
a good idea and extended the German Wikipedia article a bit.

I maintain also web site for my friend who is a young but already
very good photographer. She makes beautiful images of quiet
and often enigmatical landscapes. The site is listed now under
"Inner Landscapes"  in the "Trade / Photography" section of the
Bitcoin Wiki.

Cheers  Smiley

Oh, I had a crappy introduction (didn't read too many others).

I am here on the forums because I had specific questions regarding the Mining Technology going on, however I have other interests in Bitcoin (obviously), and am looking into the trading, but I must admit the security issues are getting silly.

I have many leather bound books and my apartment smells of rich mohogany.  Grin

This bitcoin shit is fascinating. Sure wish I had started mining when I first discovered bitcoin at 50 cents.

Oh don't we all wish we had something running on our computers churning out cash like it was the "All Advantage" days (Google it kids)

Hey all!
I've just discovered this p2p money mechanism, who knows, in the future maybe we'll stop using money in order to use this universal currency!
