I've been interested in BitCoin for a while, and I've been working with Jeff on a project writing short pieces to explain various aspects of it.  I'm going to post the pieces here on the forums, but first I have to get enough posts that I can post on the threads I want to.  I'm also really looking forward to being on the forums on a more regular basis and learning more about the details than I know.

I'm from New Orleans.  I'm fairly new to bitcoins and using MtGox.  I need to get some funds into MtGox faster than what my bank will do for me.  The 3 or more day wait sux.  Anyhow, I need 300 MtGox USD and can trade through paypal.  I want to post this info in the forum where all that is done, so posting here to meet my quota while I wait to see if I'm cleared through the whitelist forum.

If I could, I'd open a new subject on when to expect the next DDOS on the biggest pools and ask y'll about your back-up pools, esp ones offering merged mining, small enough to be under the DDOS-radar but big enough to avoid a lot of variance.

Difficulty change is near....do we need to prepare for "impact"?
