Hey there Smiley New to bitcoin and joined the forum to hopefully learn how to buy and the currency exchange forum looks like a pretty easy place to find sellers for my limited payment methods at the moment.

Hey all-I've been lurking here for 4-5 months but recently there have been a couple of threads where I've wanted to provide input.  So here I am, trying to earn the right to do that.  Been mining for about 3 months now.

Cheers!

Hi, I'm Dabs. I just installed my first bitcoin client, and got some bitcoins from the bitcoin faucet. Now, I tried to mine or -gen(erate) some coins, but all I have is a low end CPU, and so... I will go buy a desktop and maybe a mid priced GPU and play with that.

Donations are welcome.

I'm just getting started into this bitcoin business. I was attracted to the dropbox services that seems to be available here and need enough posts to send some people pm's.

Looking forward to seeing what other things are offered here.

Greetings. Only started getting into Bitcoin this year, but totally enthralled. I have a background in cryptography and distributed software, and Bitcoin may be the most impressive thing I've encountered thus far. I just upgraded to bitcoin(-qt) 0.6, and really appreciate the stability and simplicity.

I've probably clocked well over the newbie time threshold already, but only just registered. No problem, I'll be here quite a bit, I'm sure.

Hiya all,

Tossil here.  Have 4 rigs, each with between 2.1-3.2 GH/s.  Currently running Win7 on my rigs but trying to move to BAMT.  Having issues running BAMT on my rigs that have XFX 7970's (XFX FX-797A-TDBC) installed.

Had been following Butterfly Labs's Bitforce Single thread for a few months on this board but never had anything meaningful to say so I just watched from a distance.  Figured I'd get the process of becoming a full fledged member started so here I am.

End of line

I loathe newbie restrictions, but I suppose I loathe spam more. I'm whitslack, Free Stater, computer programmer, Bitcoin hobbyist. Just discovered Bitmit today and made a listing on it.

No idea how I'm going to come up with five useful things to say in this rather meaningless newbies board so I can reply where I really want to reply on this forum.
