Anyone mining Bitsend (Xaven algo) with it? Curious to know what miner and what hash rate you get.

Hi guys, how are yall putting your 1060s to good use now that the Eth profitibality has decreased?
eth? 95% of people with gtx 1060 or 70 have moved to equihash already since the dif bombs. Are you moving back to ETH on October 17th then when the blocktime/payouts increase? I'm trying to determine if it's worth the hassle of switching away and back, especially since I am just holding ether and not selling right now....

Don't be a sheep, take the decision you think will benefits you the most. I'm mining Digibyte via Myriad-Groestl since 2 months, even if whattomine.com was showing 50% profitability and people are mostly into Eth or Zcash. And now check today, Digibyte price went 25% up. If you are doing long term, stick to your coin and accumulate and sell until there is a spike. For my part, I'm still holding dgb cause I'm trading from one coin to another, but for mining I'm sticking to DGB. It's up to you !

The 'ice age' is being postponed, because PoS is nowhere near ready enough to punish us miners that much (yet), but rewards are still going to be reduced from 5 to 3 ether per block! Here's a rundown of all the changes https://btcmanager.com/byzantine-first-part-of-ethereums-planned-hard-fork-activates-oct-17/ see EIP 649. Uncle rewards are also being 'fixed' which will furher reduce pool payouts too.

Guy's just to understand... instead of one 1060, go with 1070... How is the increase of performance and how is the power consumption?

Not worth in my opinion, in EU you pay retail 400 a 70 and a little less of 200 eur a 60 Since there isn't a 1:2 hash power ratio the ROI is much longer, considering all of the new motherboards with many pciex slots Mine are on equihash doing between 260-270 sol/s

Hmm, I don't see anything about block times... the payout increase I was calculating was based on this info: (prior to difficulty bomb)Current block time was 29 seconds, reward was 5 eth - 10.34 eth per minute. New block time was 14.1 seconds, reward was 3 eth which results in 12.76 eth per minute. HOWEVER - I can't seem to find any info on the current block time? In the article you linked, it mentions block time is increased (but do they mean increased to a 'faster' time, or increased number of seconds?)

In the article you linked, it mentions block time is increased (but do they mean increased to a 'faster' time, or increased number of seconds?) Ok gotcha. Too many 'articles' for me! Jumped into the real deal from https://github.com/5chdn/EIPs/blob/a5-eip-649/EIPS/eip-649.md "The Casper development and switch to proof-of-stake is delayed, the Ethash proof-of-work should be feasible for miners and allow sealing new blocks every 15 seconds on average for another one and a half years. With the delay of the ice age, there is a desire to not suddenly also increase miner rewards. The difficulty bomb has been known about for a long time and now it's going to stop from happening. In order to maintain stability of the system, a block reward reduction that offsets the ice age delay would leave the system in the same general state as before." Then I found a good example in the comments on https://github.com/ethereum/EIPs/pull/669: So fwiw my take on Metropolis… Without EIP-649 = ice age = mining grinds to a halt. Bad. With EIP-649 (without block reward reduction) = jump in mining rewards back to April levels = 'could alter stability of the system'. But that sounds great to me – pretend the Ice Age never started and carry on? Yes please. But devs say no. For whatever reason. With EIP-649 (with block reward reduction) = the compromise = 'leave the system in the same general state as before' . Though I guess we have to accept 'as before' means before the fork, not before the Ice Age entirely… Anyway please excuse this detour – on with the 1060 hashrates!

I just got my EVGA 1060 ACX 2.0 6 GB cards in and after adjusting settings and watching a few videos I am now getting the following:
ETH - Total Speed: 47.133 Mh/s, Total Shares: 962, Rejected: 1, Time: 19:12 ETH: GPU0 23.697 Mh/s, GPU1 23.436 Mh/s
My settings in Afterburner are:
Power Limit: 60 Core Clock: -100 Memory Clock: 700 Fan: Manual 60%
Does this all look ok? My power draw is also quite low at 210 watts for the whole rig (just 2 GPUs so far), so from what I have seen on YouTube I think I am where I need to be.
