If you have an immediate need to be allowed into the forum beyond, please post your request here. Reasons such as "I'm not a spammer" will be ignored. You must provide evidence that shows that you understand more about Bitcoin than the average newbie would or that what you want to post can only be done in another forum. Try to be as specific as possible.

Much obliged.

Edit: Many people posting here have already met the 5 posts and 4 hour requirements. If you see "Jr. Member" by your name, you don't need to post here.

I certainly don't know more than the average newbie, but I was hoping to sell a few things to earn some bitcoin.

Edit by Maged:
What are you thinking of selling?

Hi Maged, I think I sent you a PM last night.  The more I read and learn, the more I like the idea of opening a Bitcoin Bookstore.  My inventory is a bit small right now, but I'd like to open it up and see how much interest there is.

I also do some web design, and programming in a few different languages.
I think that I will be a help to the forum community... Nobody will get mad at me for spammin! promise! Cheesy
(I'll even help out when I can too)

Thanks  Wink

I would say at the very least that something about the "newbie" restrictions needs to be added in the user profile area.  I only just recently stumbled across the newbies section further down in the topic list discovering why I wasn't able to message anyone or post anything anywhere else.  At least movie the newbie section to the top of the forum listing.  I've been looking at the forum page for weeks and only just now happened to see the newbie section with its helpful note as to why I've basically been locked out of the forums until now.

Hi,

I would also like to be whitelisted. I have forked bitcointools (https://github.com/harrigan/bitcointools) and have a technical question regarding the hashing of previous transactions.

Martin.

Can you please mark the newbie status somewhere on the page that is impossible to miss? I tried for hours reading the help files and posting rules (laughing about the freedom of speech rule), trying to re-confirm my account, then again waiting another day. You could also note the restriction in your confirmation mail. Wait... I just can't find a confirmation mail... could it be I never received one? And you wonder why there is so much spam?

+1 to what thomiel said. I also looked around for quite a while before I realized that there were posting restrictions for newbies.

Hi, I'd like to be whitelisted please. I'm an active miner and frequent these boards and I'd like to start contributing to discussions in other sections of the forums as well as  trade in the marketplace.

Hi, I'm working on a new BTC classifieds option, and I'd like to post about it in the "Marketplace" section.  Here's the link: http://www.murrayslist.com/

Hopefully that is proof enough that I'm not a troll. Smiley  Thanks.

The whole reason I registered was to ask about GUIminer flag suggestions for my XFX 6950 that I flashed to XFX 6970 bios.

The newbies forum isn't really the place for that, so Either I wait the 4 hours, and possibly continue mining uneconomically, or get released to the wild, and ask in the proper forum. ;-)

I don't particularly mind random, meaningless posts, just prefer to spend my time wisely in forums like this. Up to you, I guess.

I just need to get into other boards so I can ask some questions about my setup. I'm trying to run 2 6950s and a 5830 in Ubuntu and I'm having some issues.

I'm attempting to install the poclbm miner on a server, but I need to figure out how to set the program to a lower process priority so that it only uses unused processing time, since I don't need it impacting my server's performance for other things.

To do this, I need to be able to effectively participate in the forums.  Grin

-Thanks.

I have been reading here since May, but would like to start posting about a merchant tool.  Can I get whitelisted?
