Believe it or not I'm not REALLY a troll, but the ridiculous lack of security in these exchange sites and their effect on the bitcoin users is absolutely disgusting. I'm here to be incredibly critical/cynical of anything these 'trusted' sites do; they're anything but.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

This is ridiculous. Don't you guys have anything better to do with your lives than looking at these newbie posts and trying to figure out who is for real.
I was thinking the exact same thing. One second I can make a thread, the next I can't. They should have left all existing members as full members. There have to be spam circumvention mods for SMF that work better this.  Undecided Anyhoo, if I may regain my access to post in other forums it would be appreciated. I am working on a set of Bitcoin websites with my HQ residing here: bitfreak.co.cc

Please whitelist me...

I am mining 3.65 GH/s on BTCGuild and would like to post a feature request (sort workers alphabetically) on the BTC Guild forum thread.

Thanks,
Mike

Anything I can do to speed this up? Had my 5 posts in and should have had plenty of time, but it looks like someone wiped out one or two of my posts.

I am a top 50 miner on BTC Guild (can provide you proof if you would like). Just looking to post to the BTC Guild forum post.

Thanks,
Mike

I have been in touch with Bitcoin since the Middle May, and I have traded on several exchange market. I read the posts in the discussion board, project board, market place board and other boards everyday. I am very interested in the development of Bitcoin and I really appreciate the excellent idea of Bitcoin!

I am not a bot... seriousily!

Anyways, I just want to comment on a number of threads relating to the MT Gox hack (for the time being)

Also, would prefer not to link to any other accounts I use for obvious reasons.

In terms of bit coins, I own em, I buy em and I sell em.

Should a mod read this can you please move my topic (http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=20377.0) into the Bitcoin discussion area?

Hello,

I have been lurking on these forums for quite some time now, but I don't like to just randomly post things unless I have something worthwhile to contribute, so I am only just now making an attempt to jump through the newbie hoops and become a real member.

With that said, I would be honored and would very much appreciate it if you were to take the time to whitelist me. Although the newbie section is understandably necessary, so many of the posts here in the newbie section are simply fluff from people trying to inflate their post counts. I would very much like to enter into real discussion in the forum areas that really matter.

I solemnly vow that:

 - I will do my best to only provide reasonable/logical/useful and/or delightfully humorous (when appropriate) commentary.

 - I will not incite flame wars.

 - I will not feed the trolls.

 - I will follow any/all other rules, to the best of my abilities.

Hi

I'd like to have a whitelist to post some questions in a more technical forum. Whilst I'm no expert, I think my questions have indicated that I have some understanding of how bitcoin works and I'd like to learn more.

Thanks

I have been up and running on BTCGuild for over 3 days (currently holding 3BTC on said site), with my dual-6950 rig (both diamond 6950s with switch but can't be unlocked due to the extra shaders either not present or lasered off).  I would like to make a PM to a user who is looking to buy a white Evo 4G with bitcoins, and hadn't really had a reason to post on here or PM before then.

I have been reading posts here for a while. I saw a post by Fellow Traveler about his work on Open-Transactions, and wanted to discuss that. So, I registered and couldn't.

I have browsed the forum in the past and recently registered to contribute to the Bitcoin project. I wanted to discuss the homebrew formula for Bitcoin with other mac users and inform them of a my recent patches. Unfortunately, I can not post on the development forum due to the newb rules.

A brief introduction to why I joined: http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=15672.msg255767#msg255767

The post I wish to contribute to: http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=3958.0

Thank you.

It's ridic that we need to ask to be added to the forum, but oh well...

I need to report a bug with hashkill (a linux GPU miner) and I currently cannot. I've admin'd forums with millions of users, been on the internet for decades, etc etc. I have a well above average understanding of bitcoin, crypto, and computers in general.

Can I please get out of this forum?

Well, this feature is certainly annoying.

Anyway, not sure what to post here, so I guess I'll just say that I'm knowledgeable about security and the recent MTGox hack has prompted me to do some research. I'd rather not wait 5 hours to start posting.

I would like to correct DaMan on this thread: http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=15245.60

He's perpetuating the notion that a random number generator can be "due", when in fact an RNG is a Markov process, meaning that each sample is independent of the others.

allright, so ive been looking and reading around here, and i just registered, only to find out im restricted to this section Cheesy
wanna get outta here quick, so here goes:

im really interested in the bitcoin as an idea and currency, wanna make some money with it and help it grow
for now im still reading up and looking what's possible, but since i got loads of time, that shouldnt take too long

also, im a quick learner that understands alot more about computers and "internet" than the average digidodo xD (not that's hard)

the reason i wanna get outta here is that im interested in the marketplace and to be able to post questions in the right sections

*crosses fingers*

Hi,

Recently bothered to properly read about bitcoins (heard about them a long time ago, but for some reason I didn't bother mining when it was easy Sad(). I'd like to be able to post in the main forums - am reading a lot of posts and can't reply! The newbie forum is generally filled with spam, and I haven't got full answers to some of my questions regarding mining clients. I think I'd have more luck in the specific forums. Please whitelist me! Smiley

I'd really like to post in the marketplace and other sections ... specifically the hardware section. I want to build a 3-4 card machine and had some questions.
