Dear admins,

I would like to be whitelisted for the DiabloMiner board, http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=1721.0

While I am new to bitcoins, I have been a software developer for ... more years than I remember. See my introduction post for some background:
http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=15672.msg344624#msg344624

Anyways, I believe my contributions to the DiabloMiner discussion and possible the software itself will be worthwhile. Here is what I would like to post right now, I hope this will count as evidence of my good intentions:

Re http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=1721.msg345439#msg345439

Quote
ANY client that EVER uses GET for JSON RPC is wrong. Read the HTTP spec, GETs should never have message bodies. DiabloMiner follows the HTTP specification and uses POST for all requests.

You are correct regarding the HTTP spec, of course. However, I believe the LP specification is supposed to actually work without a message body in this case, justifying the GET. That is:
  • The client does a simple GET on the LP URL, indicating its interest in "interruption"
  • Once the network finds a new block, the server replies with the fresh hash, as if the client just issued a getwork request
  • The client aborts/discards the obsolete calculation and starts on the received fresh one - no need for a getwork on the main connection
  • The client re-reisters for "interruptions" by starting again with the first GET step.

At least, this seems to be how other miners interpret the LP spec, from a quick glance at poclbm.

Hope this helps! Keep up the good work!

Edit: While your're at it, I'd also like to be whitelisted for http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=16278.msg212420#msg212420 which is the pool I am currently using.

I'd like to post in the bitcoins.lc thread.  I currently contribute 2.5Ghash/s there, and I need to ask a question.

Please whitelist me.

Yes, I rather would like out of here. I intend to post on the Economics forum regarding the ability to trade Bitcoin derivatives being the turning point for widespread merchant adoption. However I'll be out of here in a few minutes anyway. So don't mind me. Cheesy

Dear mods,

I've been running 2 rigs worth 2,5ghash for a good month now.
This forum has been the key in getting everything up an running smoothly.

If it's possible I would like to get whitelisted to request a feature in DiabloMiner. Currently the latest version of DiabloMiner an Slush's Pool are incompatible. A simple command line switch would do the trick.
Since I am a coder myself beyond my 20s you can expect mannered behaviour from me.

Greetings,
NathanEO

Hi admins!

I have been a non-active member for a while, but now I have started to work on two Bitcoin services, one backup service and one Bitcoin exchange for Norway.

I would love to get whitelisted! Smiley

to answer the question about the bitcoin skills , i got a staff member of me that is all the time buzzy with bitcoins , so if i need info then he can provide me all the info i need

I'm an applications engineer, and I've started making some BTC related stuff over the last couple months. Figured I'd see if anyone has any interest in a shopping cart that lets local merchants accept payment in bitcoin for cash-in-hand style transactions. Or interest in an e-wallet interface for your local bitcoin client. Or an exchange babysitter that shuffles BTC/USD(or whatever) depending on market fluctuations to yield ~5% returns on active trading days. Or any one of the many things I've made related to BTC. So, you should go ahead and white-list me and I'll start taking some feedback from the community as far as what I should build next.

I'd like to request being white listed please. You'll see in my posts I'm not a spammer, but I am quite active and love to share ideas. I can see bitcoins doing much more then they are now in the future and it's an opportunity I wouldn't like to pass up. This could be just like windows when it first got started, who knows. If there is anything I love though it is new fresh stuff and I'm ready to see more possibilities come from this source of money. Grin

I'd like to be added to the whitelist to help out with beta testing bithopper. There was a commit that just went in that breaks me, but I can't report it to the thread.

I'm looking to ask for feedback on an android app I recently published to the market which connects to the linux bitcoin client running in daemon mode. This thread would be better suited to the 'Project Development' section than the newbie section Tongue.

(evidence (well, in so much as it can be considered evidence): https://market.android.com/details?id=Happy0.BitCoinClient&feature=search_result )

Cheers Smiley

Hi,

So I am also stamped a NEWBIE and feel I shouldn't.  I've followed the forum for a month now, anonymously.  I've also compiled the client for my box, and learned about quite some tech internals of Bitcoin.  In a week or two from now I'll want to communicate myself here on the forum, so I'm now initiating the process to make it happen.  In general I prefer to pronounce myself when I have something to say.  Please save me from doing 4 more (useless or misplaced) posts, please upgrade me during this or next week.

Thanks

I'd like to post on the AOCLBF thread due to a small problem I have (mining with 6950 and 5830, when both mining, they each do less than if they were mining alone). I think I'll be able to get more insight into the problem in that thread, since I'm using that program to mine.

Hello,

As I show in this thread, I am having an issue getting pushpool to compile on Debian 6, and would like to post the topic in the appropriate forum rather than the newbie thread.

I am purely interested in getting pushpool to work, nothing more.

Thanks!
