I request to be white listed. I would like to comment on payment message (http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=1545.msg18428;topicseen#msg18428). I am the founder of a mobile phone payment system, so I have some knowledge about this that may be of some value.

Satoshi says:
"It would be unwise to have permanently recorded plaintext messages for everyone to see.  It would be an accident waiting to happen. If there's going to be a message system, it should be a separate system parallel to the bitcoin network.  Messages should not be recorded in the block chain. The messages could be signed with the bitcoin address keypairs to prove who they're from."

I agree with that, but I think a payment message REFERENCE could possibly be included in the block chain. This is what I would like to discuss.

Hi I would like to get white listed once someone gets through all 4 pages of this thread so far.  I made a previous constructive post in the mining section and would like to continue to add to the community and ask questions in other areas when I need help or advice.  Thanks in advance.

I need to PM someone in order to have my IP whitelisted and use the miner pool I was using until now which was victim of a DDOS attack.

Thanks a lot.

I have started mining yesterday in slush's pool and now I cannot connect back to the pool because I am not on his whitelist. Therefore I need to PM him my IP address, and in order to do that I need to get whitelisted in this forum. Thanks.

I need to talk with Zephyre the BitJAM creator, because I've found some bugs on his Server-side Python code.

I wanted to PM slush my IP so that he could whitelist it. I wasn't aware of the restrictions on new accounts when I registered. I mostly just lurk around here.. five posts may take a month or two.

Hello all!  I'd like to have access if possible.  First, I need some help on my HD 5770 outside of what's on the boards already (i've read a number of the posts regarding over/underclocking the 5770's), and I'd like to converse with Jade about his windows gadget he created and just recently updated.

Thanks in advance!!

Thnx.

I too would love regain access to the main forums once again. I've been a long time lurker and it took me a while to realize that the new post button was removed from the other forums :-) Thought it was my browser for a second. Anyway, I'm a peaceful miner mining coins on my main rig and would love to participate in the economics discussions in the other boards. I hate spammers and feel that locking things down a bit was the right move but we need to find a way to get the good guys back into the regular forums as I'm sure people have a lot to contribute to this community.

I'd like to be whitelisted. I've had an account for months, but never had anything important up to this point to post. I've been pretty active on IRC all that time.

I have not posted much but have been taking a lot in over the past month and would like to be able to contribute to the rest of the forum. Right now specifically I would like to post in the "Let's build a Bitcoin Company" topic (http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=16232.0). Thanks.

Yes, please.  I'm having trouble (like several others today) connecting to slush's pool.

I have two Ubuntu 10.10 (HD 5570 and HD 5770) running.

I'm in the process of setting up about a dozen more ATI  based machines in my basement (parts coming from Newegg tomorrow).

Not sure what else to say.  I'm a software engineer.  I write code in C, C++, Perl, and Java.  I am very excited to participate in the bitcoin community but like any good group ... I need to post / receive feedback in the forums.

Thanks,

N

Greetings from Bangkok!

I'm a merchant who just started accepting Bitcoin, and also considering mining as a hobby, all this hardware makes me drool.

My humble request to get on the "whitelist" is because I want to share my ideas how to handle the currency fluctuations as a merchant, in particular replying to this specific post.
