Can you please mark the newbie status somewhere on the page that is impossible to miss? I tried for hours reading the help files and posting rules (laughing about the freedom of speech rule), trying to re-confirm my account, then again waiting another day. You could also note the restriction in your confirmation mail. Wait... I just can't find a confirmation mail... could it be I never received one? And you wonder why there is so much spam?

+1 to what thomiel said. I also looked around for quite a while before I realized that there were posting restrictions for newbies.

Hi, I'd like to be whitelisted please. I'm an active miner and frequent these boards and I'd like to start contributing to discussions in other sections of the forums as well as trade in the marketplace.

Hi, I'm working on a new BTC classifieds option, and I'd like to post about it in the "Marketplace" section. Here's the link: http://www.murrayslist.com/Hopefully that is proof enough that I'm not a troll. Thanks.

The whole reason I registered was to ask about GUIminer flag suggestions for my XFX 6950 that I flashed to XFX 6970 bios.
The newbies forum isn't really the place for that, so Either I wait the 4 hours, and possibly continue mining uneconomically, or get released to the wild, and ask in the proper forum. ;-)
I don't particularly mind random, meaningless posts, just prefer to spend my time wisely in forums like this. Up to you, I guess.

I just need to get into other boards so I can ask some questions about my setup. I'm trying to run 2 6950s and a 5830 in Ubuntu and I'm having some issues.

I guess I don't have any particular grounds to request your whitelist. I am interested in the economics of bitcoin in relation to other currencies and exchange. I feel it is unfortunate that communication on these matters seems more restricted that other potentially sensitive economic transactions. Just another newbie, I guess.
Edit by Maged: I'd like to see more of what you'd post before whitelisting you. Please reapply for whitelisting once you have something more we can look at.

Let me outta here please! Had already posted (appropriately) in forums before newbie restrictions were put in place, and eager to share what I've learned about mining with dual HD 6970's. Thank you!

I could probably make the 4 hours only a couple hours left. but I would like to be out of here.
Long time lurker, bitcoin fanatic, my posts tend to be long winded but have more substance than not.
hey I already have a profile picture and if you look around the web you can probably tell I'm a more than a loquacious. i'm getting 328mh out of a 5830.. so you know I am paying attention(rec on the wiki hardware table is 320 but the rec was prior to the 3% hack on phatk)
eh.. I'll probably be our of here before you get around to white listing.. how long does that take?.. en 1hr 20 minutes now.. i guess it dont matter too much but getting out of here early for good behavior would be nice.

Hi everyone, found a performance bug in phatk.cl and would like to tell the forum about it in this line #define sharound(n) {t1 = t1(n); Vals[(3 + 128 - (n)) % 8] += t1(n); Vals[(7 + 128 - (n)) % 8] = t1(n) + t2(n); } t1 is calculated three times, change it to: #define sharound(n) {t1 = t1(n); Vals[(3 + 128 - (n)) % 8] += t1; Vals[(7 + 128 - (n)) % 8] = t1 + t2(n); } This got me a 25% increase in performance on my humble 4670 Just starting to learn about OpenCL by the way, can anyone recommend a tutorial?

Hello, I found a bug in slush's sierrachartfeed software which prevents it from functioning on some architectures. In particular, his struct format specifiers don't include the datatype format character so it doesn't work on architectures that use something else than 4 byte longs and 2 byte shorts. I'd like to post a patch on the sierrachartfeed thread without cruising around here in hope for posting opportunities. Thank you in advance!

Please let me out so I can make a purchase on marketplace: http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=25044.0I have the time I could just post random on some of the newb threads, but I usually only like to post when I really can contribute. As far knowledge of bitcoins, not sure how to prove that, I have a couple mining rigs running already on BTCGuild for the last month, managed to work everything out without posting so I guess that might qualify Thanks
