Is a BFL single worth getting?  What is the current lead time?

I don't believe it is. Up to 6 weeks or so i believe for it to arrive, goes for a several hundred $ premium secondhand. ASIC's will make these not worth it too and will be supposedly released soon

The newbie restrictions seem reasonable to me.

Happy to hear that only one post is needed to be allowed to PM someone. I hope this one suffices.

I am unhappy with the restrictions.

This was a 'spam' post to get my count up so I can post my one and only single contribution to this site in a thread for BFL orders.

Hey that is similar to me as well. imagine that!!

So do I.

Due to a mass of trolling, only established posters are able to post in non-newbie sections. You are considered "established" if you have spent 4 hours online and have made 5 posts.

If you have really good posts, you can post a request for preemptive whitelisting in the appropriate topic.

Also:
- You must have made one post in order to send PMs.
- You need 10 posts to put a link in your signature.

Note that it may take up to 10 minutes for your PM or posting permissions to be granted.

thanks for admin,  I am new here and get your rules here.

I've been lurking here so long that when I finally went to make an account so I could post a reply to something, I was confused when I couldn't find the option to actually post. lol

Too bad both our real-world antibiotics are failing to mutating, drug-resistant bugs, and our online anti-spam measures (captchas, etc) are failing to new spammers.

At last I believe I will be able to give some valuable info whenever I manage to get an upgrade...

I have been recently very mad about spam mails clogging my mailbox, and among the companies participating in that kind of junk mail spreading. Among my findings there seems to be at least one group of people who has also bee reported in one discussion here of being involved in bitcoin-fraud as well.

The connecting piece of information between numerous "companies" involved in both spam and possible fraud is their domain registration address. I have checked those addresses through "Whois" -services, and found that several are sharing street address "11400 W. Olympic Blvd. Suite 200, Los Angeles, CA 90064"

To everybody: Please check the registrant of domain from which you get any suspicious mails or "offers too good to be true." If the address matches the above, I wouldn't do any business with whoever they that day happen to claim to be.

I hope I can post this info and some more in a more to-the-point thread soon.

Hi,

This will be a stupid newbie question, but how do you send a PM on this form. I found the member I need to contact (as per their support instructions) but cannot find a PM link on their profile.

Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

DT

You need to have one post, so you should be able to now.

It's mentioned in the sticky. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=15958.0
