yeah but 5 hours are hard to do

Not for dickheads who have nothing better to do. Probably also not for hired spammers who live in low-wage countries and are paid a few pennies for the job.

It deters only people who have a life. That is apparently the intention.

So which are you? A dickhead with nothing better to do or a hired spammer?

I think the 5-posts-in-newbie-section limit is a bit excessive.

Well the point was to cut down on the spamming, so I'd say the opposite

Its like a giant ocean of newbie spam and they are trying to damn it up to keep the rest of the forum water fresh.

Due to a mass of trolling, only established posters are able to post in non-newbie sections. You are considered "established" if you have spent 4 hours online and have made 5 posts (new topics or replies).

If you have really good posts, you can post a request for preemptive whitelisting in the appropriate topic.

Also:
- Newbies cannot upload their own avatars.
- You must have made one post in order to send PMs.
- You need 10 posts to put a link in your signature.

Note that it may take up to 10 minutes for your PM or posting permissions to be granted. (The system automatically checks every 10 minutes and promotes people as appropriate.)

too many restrictions......and the timer is not moving

Newbie restriction is really of significant use as it help the forum to
distinguish ads and someone with evil intention.

These rules are totally worthless and only restrict the growth of this forum.
