Anti-spam measure ? I think newbies already spam enough no intended, just to be able to post on other areas of the forum also.

I don't mean to belabor a point that's probably been made in one of the last 139 pages, but let me try to clarify.
So, as a newbie, I'm restricted to posting in Bitcoin Forum > Other > Newbies only. As someone who's only a month into mining and barely able to cash out my work, I'm not really sure what I can add to these conversations that would be novel, or not terribly repetitive. Besides asking a probably-stupid question like this.

Yeah, what he said. I don't find myself with much to say on the forum so I remain a lurker, but I will continue to make brief and/or unnecessary posts in order to rid myself of the newbie tag. What will I do once I have done so? I do not know.

Thanks for the new restriction... It is more sensible Anyway a bit annoying. No restrictions would be better :-)

Seems good to prevent spammers from creating and posting. Honestly I didn't even find out about the newbie section and was wondering why i couldn't post for a couple of days.

Due to a mass of trolling, only established posters are able to post in non-newbie sections. You are considered "established" if you have spent 4 hours online and have made 5 posts (new topics or replies). If you have really good posts, you can post a request for preemptive whitelisting in the appropriate topic. Also: - You must have made one post in order to send PMs. - You need 10 posts to put a link in your signature. Note that it may take up to 10 minutes for your PM or posting permissions to be granted. (The system automatically checks every 10 minutes and promotes people as appropriate.) Thanks for posting these restrictions
