Welcome playdontworry,
How does Newbie status on bitcointalk.org keep you from buying bitcoin??
I have used mtgox and tradehill to buy bitcoin with success (I don't store my bitcoins there!). I understand that intersango is also easy to use to buy bitcoins. I don't know the status of bitcoin-otc, but I understand that it is great and decentralised way to buy bitcoins.

I cant do intersango as I cant do and ACH transfer. I can do a wire but dont feel like paying $25. So I go to MtGox. You can deposit to chase but have to go through averification process. So I come here looking to buy some mtgox money to buy bitcoins but have to go through a process before I can arrange a trade with someone. I am not a dumb guy and maybe just havent found the most direct path to purchasing bitcoins but if there is an obvious one I'd sure appreciate some one pointing it out. On the upside I did get my free .005 of a bitcoin in the mtgox account....

These restrictions are perfectly reasonable to any forum that has as much activity as this one. I just got the bitcoin client recently, and I'm still in the process of synchronizing with the network. At this rate, I may get whitelisted first.

I think I've spent more then 20 hours on this forum and only now I decided to register. 4 more hours is not a problem, I can read lots of fascinating things here. However I don't know what to write in the next 4 posts

I want to be on the 100BTC list, but I can't, because I can't reply to a non-newbie thread :-(
same here except I'm more interested in FPGA threads but this is a small obstacle

If you have a question, then ask it here. We will see it regardless of which thread you wish to ask it in.

"The powers of financial capitalism had another far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent meetings and conferences. The apex of the systems was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world's central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank...sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world."

It's a drag when you just want to make one post. If it stops the trolls I guess it's OK.

Due to a mass of trolling, only established posters are able to post in non-newbie sections. You are considered "established" if you have spent 4 hours online and have made 5 posts. If you have really good posts, you can post a request for preemptive whitelisting in the appropriate topic. Also: - You must have made one post in order to send PMs. - You need 10 posts to put a link in your signature. Note that it may take up to 10 minutes for your PM or posting permissions to be granted. Sound the logic thing to do, and its not like 50 posts, so its fine with me

Truth. If I hadn't already started reading threads in this section (trying to learn the basics), I would have spent a lot of time scratching my head as to why I couldn't post.

Got it. How often moderators checks whitelist requests in neighbor topic?

Farm. It is not botnet. Wow, do you have any pics of your farm? That would be cool to see.
