I am a supporter of byteball platform. But I think the distribution of bytes through WCG can be improved as well as the distribution as whole though a sustainable way. Some people complain because it changes in a very short time without previus anouncement.
For exmple, why not distribute the remaining bytes in a fix number of year by a fix amount of bytes? Mimicking the distribution of bitcoin. And it will become a profitable distribution organically.
For example, If I have 300,000 Gbyte to distribute in 30 years, it would be 10,000 Gbyte a year.
It would be around 30 Gbytes a day fixed distribution for 30 years to the WCG.
The 30 Gbytes a day should be divided by the total number of points of WCG.
Or 15 Gbytes to WCG and 15 Gbytes for Byteball core team, or 10 and 20.
Or 3 to wcg and 27 to byteball core team.
Or 10 to wcg, and 10 to full nodes and 10 to core team.
Whatever the amount or method is, fix it, do not change it tomorrow.
It will become profitable eventually, and people that are already mining other coins will switch their hashing power "to mine" Byteball.
The amount of Gbytes to distribute per day should determined and study by "the experts" or open a public debate.
This model of distribution I didn't invented, it works for bitcoin and some other altcoins. I think it is sustainamble for the price, and the investors and trader will know what to expect next day, next month, and next year.
If I could unfix the distribution of Bitcoin
because "I invented the Bitcoin" and I start distribute it to steem user at my will because I think is good, then next day start ditributing Bitcoin at my will to the students of a Venezuelan University, then next day I start to distribute Bitcoin to souvenir merchant in Milan, next day will sell bitcoin to pay for developers and marketing at my will, the price of Bitcoin would be 125 USD per bitcoin today.
Nice work guys, really appreciate the efforts! It's always good to get a little compensation for computation.
