@meterse you are silent about one important thing.
Bob - bitcoin user. Alisa - byteball user. They make 10 tx every day and store $10k.
Jan. Bitcoin $20k, byteball $1.2k 30 Jan. BTC - 10k, gbyte - $600, 300 tx = $258 (btc), $0.021 (byteball) Bob lost $5258, Alisa lost 5000.021. Bob store 4742, Alisa 5000
8 March. BTC - 9k, gbyte - $300, ~380 tx = $326 and $0.026 Bob store $3940, Alisa $2500
29 March. BTC - 6900, gbyte - 150, 210tx = 180 for btc Bob store $2840, Alisa $1250
16 Aug BTC - 6400, gbyte - 59, ~1360tx = $1169 for btc Bob store $1465, Alisa $491
The more money you store, the worse situation for byteball. Byteball is use and run. But what to use? Betting bot? Bitcoin is millions times more use cases

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the
subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The
subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Isn't almost every coin on the above infographic using per kB fees? How is that not "directly proportional to space used on ledger"?
Also, the stupid meme about proof of work being some massive waste of energy is stupid. It's more akin to converting excess energy to stored value (bitcoin) rather than letting it burn off as waste heat.
nope, talking about bitcoin fees rise as transaction volumes rise Byteball doesnt have this problem

nope, talking about bitcoin fees rise as transaction volumes rise Byteball doesnt have this problem Not directly, but if byteball transactions rise, then it would be logical to assume that byteball price would increase, correct? So if byteball had market cap of Bitcoin, it would be about 3176x more expensive per byte/gbyte, pushing your expected tx fee from $0.00007 to $0.22 - not crazy expensive, but a lot more than nothing. And I think most people expect Bitcoin to continue to grow, if it was 10x higher that would be over $2 per byteball tx. Personally, I agree with other commenter that dynamic fees make more sense. You can disagree, but you can't pretend that this is some panacea that would prevent $1+ fees of many people actually used byteball.

Byteball is lucky to have people like Marc De Mesel in the community. We love his enthusiasm, and also his bravery to get on camera and share with the world what he thinks based on both data and gut feeling. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mW0VweskNm8&feature=youtu.be

Let me put this way, those "illiquid coin exchange" are good for filling the content of a website. Yes you can buy a few bytes and store it, and pray for the price to up one day and sell it. Byteball has more usefulness than that. Byteball can be the finance crypto instrument prefered choice. It can be deeply integrated with other coin, and give the market the price stability that is needed. But Byteball needs LIQUIDITY.
Let me give you only "one example": I have 10 Ethereum coins that cost me 300 USD each, and I want insured it against any price drop, because I don't want to loose money or risk my holding, I can go binary ball and buy an insurance from 1 to 5 hours. Two situation will happen: 1. the price of ethereum goes up, I loose the binary insurance BUT I win with ethereum in price. I sell ethereum and buy again insurance. 2. The price of ethereum goes down, I won the binary "insurance" sell it and buy ethereum back again. Conclusion: the value of the ethereum holding in my portfolio stay around 3000 usd.
The model works better if price of ethereum would be in bytes, and the insurance is for 24 hours, and better LIQUIDITY.
Why all prices of on binary ball are in USD or Bitcoin. Maybe is lack of bytes liquidity.
A petition to Binary Ball developer,
Can you please list another asset pair? I think you are missing the most important pair
Can your list byteball_bitcoin pair on the Binary options trading?
I want insure my byteball holding, please.
If not, why not?
Thank for your responce.
The low liquidity of Byteball would be a very easy way to manipulate a Byteball binary contract. shoemaker's son always goes barefoot

The fee structure in Byteball has no real sense. You should not emphasis that, it is somewhat misleading information.

Dont worry, when fees would be higher, byteball community tony byteball foundation will say 1 byte paid = x bytes stored, being x an arbitrary number chosen by byteball community tony byteball foundation.

Witnesses must agree to cut their incomes. Although considering that all witnesses are one person, this should not be a problem

Hi, I just wrote a program that uses Byteballs, and I am ready to start testing it out, but to do this I need a few Byteballs. Is there a faucet anywhere or could anyone help me out? I just need the minimum amount that is needed to send and receive, and exchanging crypto in the country I live is very difficult... Or in case someone can help, my address: QWAZTJ7XBYTK56LANDF4ESGCOUVG7UPX Much obliged!
