i think blackbytes value will be 10x more high than whitebytes.
Cause it's 100% anon and only sender and receiver could see amount.

Well if you believe so you get mine. I will offer you 4 BlackByte for 1 Byteball from you.

Same here. I would offer 4 BlackByte for 1 Byteball as well.

Does not sound blackbyte is valuable. If I understand, the ratio of blackbyte to byteball is 2.11 so the transfer rate should be 2.11 blackbyte to 1 byteball. I am wondering why there's no exchange for blackbytes.

Maybe I have missed this,

but is there actually already a way to spend Bytes and use the database?
(...)

Also interested in documentation on this functionality

Judging by the zero replies, I assume that, at this point in time, there are no byteball-based applications or services.
Any announcements I may have missed, anything in the pipeline? Not that I can find anything on byteball.org...

Shouldn't (early) applications play a role in the discussion of potential value and distribution schemes?

The first proved app is sending total anonymous Blackbyteballs over the Messenger. On the OP here, there are announced in github few opportunities for coding apps like decentralized exchanges.

Prepared everything; only some skilled coders have to hook up these projects. I am sure, that soon we see some nice Apps.

1. You cannot make total anonymous coins visible on explorers, so actually its not possible to create an exchange with blackbyteballs.

2. Please understand, that blackbyteballs should be private. Its a privatecoin for private deals. I have another  idea for you:

Go to localcrypto.eu.org and make an advertisement for free to build with us the perfect marketplace for privatecoins over person to person exchange. Everything is prepared. Its up to you.

please try
1.   paire your devices using QR-Code + cam (Byteball  menu -> add new device)
2.   invite and accept each other device (android -> mac , mac-> android)
3.   test: select a device using paired devices menu
4.   chat vom each paired device to each other
5.   you can also chat with the transition bot (select transition bot) -> try „Hi“ (when he's awake in the distribution phase)

ok...I am sorry:

Go to "Paired Devices" ----> "Add a new device" -----> "Invite The Other Device" ----> send this code to your partner you wanna deal with.
The Partner has to go to "Accept Invitation From the Other Device" ----> put the code from you in.

Now you are connected with your partner.

After that, you can type a message or you can sending blackbytes if you go to "Request Payment". You have the choice now of blackbyteballs or byteballs.

Thats all. :-)

i think it is a bug within the mac wallet.

Both wallets are fully synced?

and dont forget to press "INSERT MY ADRESS" to the another one. Only this is the adress, where you can send your coins!

Seems that an excellent alternative to a major exchange, for the time being, would be for Erik Voorhees to add byteball to Shapeshift.

In the distribution phase, bytes are more valuable. Because we will have one or more rounds with “more power”:
*62.5 MB for every 1 BTC of proven balance and
*1 new byte for every 1 byte of proven balance

Blackbytes do not play a role at this very early stage, but they will be much more useful later on.
#page 3
Privacy. … Transactions in bytes (the base currency) in Byteball are equally visible, but there is a second currency (blackbytes), which is significantly less traceable..

The one or the other may take a credit to get more bytes (or borrows some BTC)…
The interest he pays with the sale of Blackbytes ..
Or you can change Bytes/ Blackbytes 1:4 ..

.. I'm sure there are 100 more ways to speculate  Smiley

All blackbytes are already distributed, there is not 2.1111 times more blackbytes than bytes, their limit is the same 2^15, but blackbytes had to be distributed all at once. Guess why.

Rest of rounds will consist of distributing only bytes.

No, there no applications on main net yet. There are few example bots on test net. I hope, some applications on main net are coming soon. Tonych is not very active on this thread since after  distribution, I guess he is cocking something to surprise us.

Yesterday we've made few tests with sending BlackBytes, it turned out for transactions of around 30K and 60K the fee is the same - exactly 699 Byteballs. Didn't test bigger TXes though. Looks like fee would depend on size, but not much.
Took about 20 minutes to confirm transactions btw...

I believe he'll add it for sure. Byteball is a strong Coin and have a good Potential. it will be added to major exchanges among with shapeshift.
