Can you link your btc address now and then empty that address or it needs to be btc filled till 24.12?

The bitcoin snapshot will be taken on the first block on or after dec-25 00:00:00 UTC, at that point in time you should have bitcoins in your linked address!  Wink

Is there anyway to use a blockchain.info address? Because they change the address on every transaction.

Yes.

You send the small amount from your blockchain.info wallet to the bot's address.

The bot is waiting, and then says "Your payment from 1Gxdjgjshsgcfhfjfksjwyr.... has 6 confirmations now."

Then you send all your bitcoins (except the network comission) to that "1Gxdjgjshsgcfhfjfksjwyr...." address (if it is really your address).

As suggested by the dev, you should only use the addresses where you have full control (i.e. have private key). Otherwise it could be problems. With blockchain.info, you can use the same receiving address though.

This is wonderful project with dev did all the original work. I am sure it will be big.

Is it possible to use different BB address for every BTC address? I tried generating new BB address and bot still asks to sign previous one.

Only if you link from different devices, e.g. desktop and Android.

great work hermesesus

what about a tutorial for Ledger Wallet (HW.1, Nano), anyone?

Unfortunately, it is not possible yet to sign a message with a Ledger Wallet and its Chrome app
The "sign a message" feature is in development (roadmap: https://trello.com/c/xMK8hj9r)

It's possible since you can use your Ledger Nano - (or Nano S) with Electrum.

Do you plan to enable this option? Some people have multiple addresses for a reason. It might be irrelevant at this point but BTC is hopefully here to stay. Addresses being tied by common BB address in your transition table do unnecessarily provide additional info to outside entities.

What if someone submits an exchange address that is not submitted by anyone else? Is the team going to compare all the addresses to a list of known exchange addresses to prevent this issue?

Ah, thanks. I hope this doesn't mean 2600 BTC in byteballs are subsequently going to be dumped on the market rapidly.

Any rough statistics of how many users will be connecting their BTC to Bytball address?

http://transition.byteball.org/

looks like some big fishes linked their BTC. Do we have a count how much BTCs are already linked?

Currently there are 8706.44455897 BTC that you can find on top of the statistic page.

I was originally going to link my Bitcoin address to get some Byteballs but after looking at the website that you postsed in regards to how many Bitcoin is linked and how many per address it seems very much unviable for little everyday joes which most of us are, there is one user with 2578.76557524 BTC Linked to his Byteball address..... Seems like whales already control this coin before release.
