When will this snapshot be?

On the first block after December 25 00:00:00 UTC.

Does my Bitcoin have to sit in this account I link or can I link it now and then Remove my Bitcoin?

No it doesn't, you can link your address now, link it later, fund it now or fund it later. All should be done before December 24 at 23:59:59 UTC to ensure your linked address is part of the snapshot.

So what is stopping someone linking a load of btc then moving it to another btc address and doing it again....and again?

Snapshots can only occur once.

Usually the wallet transfers unused coins from the inputs as 'change' to a new address. In this case, you have to send the total wallet balance to the linked btc address you own. After this tx is confirmed, the transition bot will update your balance.

So if we wait to link, do we get less or do we get the same amount regardless of when we do it. Am I losing out if I wait until the 24th for example?

I check and send i think min. i need 1 BTC to collect.
Current balance of this address is 0 BTC.

Nope you don't need a minimum, you just need to fill your BTC address if you want a piece of the pie. The bot tells you your linked Bitcoin address(es) and it also tells you to move your funds there, so if you don't want to see "Current balance of this address is 0 BTC.", move some funds to your address, and to participate make sure it has funds before the snapshot's taken.

Current transition rate is 0.032132917702399996 BTC per Gigabyte

This means more than 3213 BTC has already been linked.

From what I understand, when the snapshop occurs on the 25th, you will get ByteBall depending on how much BTC you have in that address right at the moment of snapshot, so linking empty addresses wouldn't get you any Byteball.

It looks like you have no idea about byteball. I'll sell you as much as you can get at 13 sato/byteball, and the same quantity of blackbytes you will get as a gift.

.1 BTC Bounty for someone to write up a tutorial on linking Trezor or Ledger wallet to Byteball account via signing a message. This should include details on what needs to be done with full balance (do we need to send it to one address within wallet) before signing message. Thanks.
Here you go Smiley
1NXoWMpvHX7FamzXDB5e9LEqQHVFY3fE7G

Tutorial on linking Trezor wallet to Byteball account via signing a message

Step 1: Get a NEW Trezor bitcoin address

- Initialize your Trezor
- You get a screen like this

- Click on “your_account” tab (account page), then on "Transactions" tab
- Select the "Receive" tab and click on the “More please +” button to get a NEW Trezor bitcoin address
- Check that the receiving address is truly created by your TREZOR by clicking on the "eye" icon (“Show on TREZOR” feature): the receiving address displayed must be the same on your browser AND on your Trezor device.

Step 2: Move your bitcoins to your NEW address

- On your Trezor account page, click on "Send" tab
- Enter your NEW receiving address (the one you got from step 1) in the "Destination address" field

- Put the amount you want to send (you can send the maximum possible amount by pressing the "arrow" button)

- Click on "Send"
- Enter your PIN
- Check the amount of the transaction and the destination address and confirm your transaction on your Trezor (right button)

Step 3: Install and launch Byteball wallet

- Download Byteball wallet from byteball.org (make sure it is the LIVENET version)
- Install Byteball wallet
- Open Byteball wallet
- Click on the link provided by byteball.org to launch the Transition Bot

- Click on "Insert my address" then on "Send"
- Enter your Trezor bitcoin address (the one from Step 1) and click on "Send"

Step 4: Sign a message (your Byteball address) with your Trezor Bitcoin address

- On your Trezor account page, press Sign & Verify in the top right corner

- Copy & paste your Byteball address into the "Message" field of "Sign message"
- Copy & paste your Trezor bitcoin address into the "Address" field of "Sign message"
- Click on "Sign"
- Check the message on your Trezor display and confirm
- The signature should now appear on the screen, copy it

Step 5: Link your Byteball address with your Trezor bitcoin address

- In Byteball wallet, paste the signature (from step 4) and click on "Send"
- You should get a confirmation from the Transition Bot with your current balance on your Trezor bitcoin address

Note: If you spend your bitcoins, you will have to repeat Step 2, so that your bitcoins are always on the linked Trezor bitcoin address

Track the linking progress at http://transition.byteball.org

Some people tried to send microtransactions from exchange wallets.  These addresses have been deleted:

More user.. less BBs for all.

It's correct @tony ?..because you said 62,5mo value 1 btc..so if claiming exceed BBs montant yu cant be able perform this conversion..or this conversion applies at tota number l of BBs ?

Testnet to experience what you can do in the system.
Livenet to link addresses (no other use before Dec 25).

For each platform, there are two versions of the wallet: livenet and testnet.

not sure if this got asked.
If i get airdropped on for linking a btc address and i sell all my bytes, but never move my btc, do i get airdropped on for the following rounds? all i saw is that its weighted differently but didnt see if theres a penalty for not hodling.

$MAID & $BTC other than that some short hodls and some long held garbage.

i open a reflection..kind of project lab..what futur apply for BBs ?

do little bit reflect on..but i  not time in this time..i'm taken by obligation IRL..but we can already ask ourselves if BBs will serve of just money exchange, assets, refuge value..and build a project arround of this idea.

i dont know if dev have plan a project arround BBs to futur..i not read road map..full project are born dead because that doesn't singularize face to btc..this is the cause of disinterestedness of users..i want to avoid for BBs..i think  that the better for a coin is that it serve to supply a service than simply exchange like money..because bitcoin can do it.

i not dev but..i propose that bbs holders can submit a vote for futur BBs project if there are..bbs will a great experience if  it manages to stand out from other crypto  Cool
