nice price by LMAO ppl are WAY overpaying if buying in now sheesh.
Really? The first live, working, non-experimental cryptocurrency with Zerocoin transactions. Supported by Roger Ver. Currently under $1 million market cap. Yeah, way overpriced. Grin

ZCoin and ZCash are both going to gain sizable market caps. With Komodo coming also, this whole area is going to be the forefront of crypto the next few months.

You cannot know in advance which horse will win. So it is good to have a stake in all three. JMHO.

Devs are currently exploring alternative algorithms instead of this Lyra one which was meant to be a placeholder.

Meanwhile the coin gets nommed by botnets... Yay!

Good devs, They could've just used Lyra2v2, but they had to be different. ~_~

This is typical misconception. And dont mix ur tuppenny node with loaded miner or cheepjack vpn subscription with what a median botnet is capable of doing.

Think what you want bro. Botnets have been on the crypto scene for years. Whole reason coins migrated away from things like Lyra2 and NeoS. If you don't think they exist, you're obviously new (more then likely a eth-baby).

For instance: https://www.zpool.ca/site/miners

Look at NeoS. This isn't the pools fault. Most the time you can't see what miner people are using, so it's normal to assume it's just GPU miners. There is a GPU miner for NeoS and it's not profitable to mine with a CPU from a electricity standpoint. Same thing for Cryptonote.

I buy private Nvidia miners. Send information and/or inquiries to my PM box.

Currently under 1 million usd marketcap with 230K coins in circulation.

At the same price of XZC its marketcap will be 12 millions after a year when there are more than 2.5 million XZC in circulation. and after 4 years if the price of XZC stays the same marketcap will be 50 millions.

So yeah not so cheap. If you know how hyperinflationary XZC is.

Right. But that's not how supply and demand work. In fiat money, future inflation of monetary supply also doesn't affect current prices. Otherwise you could take that argument and run with it and claim that prices should be 7x what they are now, because in 100 years at 2% inflation there will be over 7x as much money.

Hi guys, just entered xzc mining, can someone point me out some reference hash power for i7 6700 CPU (Skylake)?

Also why i cannot connect to suprnova but on pool.mn is everything ok? Is suprnova having issues with stratum?

Another question: is it normal that i see 0 Hashes on my cpu miner while mining on pool.mn but on the pool dashboard i can see 0.14 in hashing power?
When i try to solo mine i see hashes per sec on the miner window...very strange.

Hmm which error do you get ? There were some DDoSes earlier but it's all good now.

Hi you haven't made a pool yet?
Anyone can explain how to mine?

Check https://xzc.suprnova.cc/index.php?page=gettingstarted

I downloaded and made a bat file with this command lines:

cpuminer.exe -a lyra2rev2 -o stratum+tcp://xzc.suprnova.cc:5595 -u xxx -p xxx

but get 0 kh/s.

Be aware that the Lyra2 POW algorithm currently used by Zcoin (subject to change!) gives very low hashrates. Can't expect more than 20-30 hashes per sec on a Core i7. And it will continue to decrease because block height is actually used as a parameter for the algo, so the more blocks there are, the more time it takes to produce a hash.

So "0.0 kh/s" means you're probably mining just fine (with less than 100 h/s, naturally).

Is this only cpu mining?  someone is mining with 404 kh/s at suprnova that needs 4000 CPUs core i7. it is so ridiculous for me. he should be a huge company!

The inflation is very different for fiat vs Zcoin.

For fiat 2% inflation in next year equates to inflation of 0.005% daily.

For ZEC, 1000% inflation in next year equates to 3% daily inflation rate.

Good luck with buying ZEC now and holding it long term.

It's all about supply and demand. I think most here wished they could have bought Bitcoin in the first few thousand blocks regardless of its inflation.

Comparing bitcoin to ZEC is a bit stretch. It was the only one coin then. today there are thousands of coin and hundreds are promising.

If you want things in perspective, ZCASH is ethereum and ZEC is expanse.

let me see if i can read between the lines here.

zcoinGPU claimed to have an optimised GPU miner for Zcoin. He wanted to sell it for 0.3 BTC a pop. To convince potential buyers he need to show proof of hashrate achieved through such GPU miner. One potential buyer asked  zcoinGPU to put his GPU miner to work on ocminer's pool with a specific username.  zcoinGPU tried it by photoshopping but no one was convinced. He then tried to bribe ocminer to help change the name of top hashrate owner on his pool but ocminer being an honest guy denied. So zcoinGPU is pissed off with ocminer and is bad mouthing him.

Conclusion:
zcoinGPU is a scammer trying to sell GPU miner which does not exist.
ocminer has been running mining pools reliably since more than 5 years and have high trust rating on bitcointalk.

What do you think, how will the launch of ZEC affect XZC ?
Will XZC price go up or will it drop?

As i can see ZEC = ethereum , XZC = ethereum classic

Please note to those who doubt that Roger Ver is invested in Zcoin, this is published on Bitcoin.com (the site that he owns too)

https://news.bitcoin.com/zero-knowledge-zcoin-launching-soon/

Look at the disclaimer at the end of the article:
"Disclaimer: Bitcoin.com owner Roger Ver is invested in ZCoin."

Roger is invested in both Zcoin and Zcash.

Why has it been trading on trex 5 days away from the official release?

So what happens on launch day? Exchanges seem to just pull the source and list it on their own discretion. What would make the release date any different from today or yesterday?

Its not the first time when exchanges list crapcoins or IOU before the actual launch.

"hey we launched, happy trading" <- is this the actual business model here?
