Seems to only be relatively good to us3. Switched to that and it's ok. I guess it's out of your control being along the way.

How does the EU server look from your location?

If you're searching these lines for a point, you've probably missed it.  There was never anything there in the first place.

Similar to US3 but slower.

I have been out of the country for almost 3 weeks now... still in India at the moment.  Not much time to handle these sorts of things, but I'm working on it as time allows.  Hopefully I'll have a break here when I get back on Sunday and can catch up.

My IP is still banned. Still no response to any of the emails I've sent.

Is this one of those situations where I should just give up? This whole experience has been rather discouraging. I mean, someone/something made the effort to put me on a blacklist for trying to log into my own account, so I figure someone could take 1 minute and say, "Your concerns are very important to us, we are very back logged, please allow 3 months for us to respond"

This is my last post regarding this issue unless I get a response. Any response would be better than sitting here not know why i can't access my account.

We are working on creating an automated system to unban IPs.  The solution is not to have multiple failed login attempts from your IP address; it's a security measure.

Load on the US servers seems very high, total pool hashrate is way down and stats are reporting 0 for me despite my rigs merrily mining away on us1. Issues?

I'm mining on EMC for about 2/3 months now and received 0.02BTC every day. Since one week I get that amount every 3(!!) days. Is something wrong with the pool or is the difficulty just breaking the roofs? Seems kinda strange that it happend so fast...

Difficulty is increasing rather rapidly at the moment... it will be probably be another month or two before it starts to level off again I'd guess.

Just wondering if that has any roll on effect anywhere that you need to look into:

280732
(5878)
02:48:57
2014-01-16 04:59:10
1,248,837,248
(14,001,529)
49.77%

Block 280732 had difficulty 1,789,546,951.05 - so the % should be over 50%
Same for 280673

I wonder if all the % might be wrong since the diff change?

0.4976536 is the upper tail CDF for 0.6978511 d1 shares/difficulty. I don't have time to check atm, but if you calculate:

exp(-shares/difficulty) and this figure is the same as the percentage figure given, then the percentage is of the CDF.

Edit: Or it could just be a big fat coincidence.

Oh - I thought it was just that 50% means expected number of shares.

I just logged in - it looks like he's using the upper tail CDF to indicate luck. I reckon this is probably the best way to do it since the "luck" definition is bounded equally at 0 and 1, but not many other pools are doing this.

Yes, luck factor is calculated exactly as you describe Organofcorti.

I'm certainly open to other interpretations of luck that would be more relevant, if anyone has suggestions.

I think that the CDF and shares per round are both useful, but both need to be explained clearly for miners.

My preference is for the CDF. Maybe others prefer shares per round, although it's only under proportional payment methods that shares per round is linked closely to reward for each miner.

Nope, none of them really make much sense anyway (to me) when you 'average' them Smiley

I just took the comment at the bottom about 50% to mean that 50% was expected.
Clearly, I did that wrong Cheesy

Certainly not a request to change it.

I have tried to catch up with all of the GA & password reset requests today.  There are inevitably some I have missed (Why do people want to send me 12 page dissertations when sending password reset requests?  The world may never know...)  ...

If I have missed your request, please send it again to admin@eclipsemc.com.  Please be as brief and succicnt as possible, in addition to including the necessary information, which is basically email address and account name.  Requests must come from the email address associated with the account, other requests will be ignored.  If you do not have an email address associated with your account, you need to create a new one as your account is not recoverable.

Had some strangeness show for my workers.
One now says no shares for 4 days but had (lotsa) shares yesterday.
I guess there was some web issue?
OK Ignore that - I clearly am unable to keep track of my own workers and which ones are doing what Smiley
