I hope that Claymore did it with the new drivers from AMD 17.1.1 so at the moment it is the best driver in the increase in speed
That would be wrong, 17.1.1 is not working with moded(even for ETH) bioses and such cards are wast majority. So 16.11.5 (or 3 ) is best shot.

How much average H/s can I get with using R9 290 cards?
I am considering buying r9 390, r9 290 or r9 290X. Anyone here using these?
These cards use lots of power. Expect 370h/s for 275w using R9 290x with 390x bios mod @ 1150/1350mhz +25-50mv. 290h/s-310h/s with stock/stilt bios @ 1000/1250mhs. Unless you can get 390 really cheap, stick with R9 290x + R9 390 bios mod. You can get R9 290x down to 150w but hash rate will suffer. You need to use server power supplies for 290/290x/390/390x but you can get away with a single 1000w for 5x RX 470, 750w for brand name with perfect cooling. At current prices your profit really depends on the price you pay for electricity. It's really hard to beat RX 470 efficiency with current power prices. Everyone is expecting a pump before AMD releases VEGA, which is Q2 2017. You *might* break even R9 290x by then. AMD is *speculating* VEGA being 2.5 faster than POLARIS, in other words 1000h/s for 250w. Thanks for the info.

16.11.5 is the best if you use a modified bios. If you don't use a modified bios, why are you using the stock bios? There is no speed improvement with 17.xx.x drivers. 17.xx.x drivers force you to use to stock bios, which are not optimal for mining. Why would you use 17.xx.x drivers? It does not cost you anything to use 15/16.xx.x drivers.

If you have 20+ rigs of mixed cards using 2-3 different driver sets with different quirks us a freaking disaster.

any 16.11.x driver is fine. For the above poster, use linux then. But just keep all your new cards on 16.11.x and all the old ones on 16.3 or 15.12 or something. You should be fine.

Hi Claymore, what is the estimated time of arrival of your v12 turbo charged ZEC miner? Thanks
Started final tests for most cards, I'm checking last things related to Polaris cards, I will release new version within 24 hours.

You guys do realize that 90% of all people mining ZEC are using AMD cards.
Even if the new version is 10x as fast, the hashrate will go up 9x anyways and there won't be much profit anyways.
Our competition is Nvidia GPUs and CPU botnets however I am sure the total hashrate of all those devices with ZEC is less than 10%.
Most Nvidia's went back to ETH mining and most botnets went back to XMR.
We are all on "borrowed time" pretty much when it comes to mining. Our only catch at success is to sell ZEC, buy BTC and keep it and hope SEC approves the ETF and bitcoin goes to $10,000/coin.

Most Nvidia's went back to ETH mining and most botnets went back to XMR. Nvidia back to Ethereum? When? Why? Maxwell nVidias suck at Ethereum and if you check whattomine.com, Eth is nowhere near the most profitable coins for Pascal architecture cards like GTX 1070.

You say that because you want to grab all the coins at a lower price because near this month zec price will go very high!

You say that because you want to grab all the coins at a lower price because near this month zec price will go very high! Maybe ETH or ETC, but not ZEC. ZEC will not go very high because every month there is a large percentage of supply entering the market. The price is at all time lows...but the market cap is at all time highs. All because of the daily supply of 7,200 ZEC coins.
