Just wondering what the performance difference between a 4GB and an 8GB is on the Radeon RX480?

I have a number of sapphire RX480 8GB and they hash around 300

I bought 1 Asus Dual X to try out also 8GB but it is crap@ 280 hash

Looking to try a 4GB RX480 from Gigabyte - any ideas ?
I got a PowerColor RX480 8GB, going to add that to my HD7950. Not sure if I can get 300 sol/s with it though.

You need the newer driver for the RX 480 and old driver for 7950.

that's incorrect. 7950 and rx480 work fine with latest driver.

Glad to know. I will buy some RX 480.

Is it me or has Suprnova has really shitty luck atm? I checked earlier and I got 0.46 coins the last 24 hours hashing 6.1k!

Dwarfpool only hit like 4 blocks in the past 24 hours.

It looks to me like a lot of hash has moved to another pool causing some of the smaller pools to hit less often. I don't have all the stats at my fingers but I bet the hash has moved to another pool. I can see Dwarf's hash has been reduced by about half.

I might move to flypool soon if I don't get lucky lol

I have:
2 Asus RX480 4GB ------> 275-280 H/s,
2 Gigabyte RX480 4GB --> 280-285 H/s.

My Gigabyte 480 4 GB does the same on stock, after bios mod it does 305 sols with 1190 core/2000 mem. Bios mod was the key here.

that's incorrect. 7950 and rx480 work fine with latest driver.

 7870, 7750, 7850, all work fine with the same 16.10.1 WQHL driver that works well with the RX 470.

 12.4 on the other hand doesn't seem to like the 7870 much - lotta "driver reset" issues even with -i 1 on a card at stock clocks - but gets along fine on my RX 470s (about 270h/s with stock 4GB cards and a VERY minimal overclock) and the 7750s I've tried it on so far.

Just as I was about to switch to another pool, Suprnova gets lucky. 0.9 coins the last 24 hours - probably partly helped by declining ZEC prices!

I'm getting an error on the last card whenever I start the miner. It says GPUx returned invalid data

And it repeats this very fast and freezes the computer if I don't disable the GPU quickly. and then it runs fine with out that GPU on.

Ubuntu 15.10

First I would keep those temps under 70C. Second what GPUs are you using to give so little hashes?

I had to read it 3 times to figure out that he took that example from way back in the beginning of the threads with version 1.1. He is having the same problem as A.Rothstein had.

Guys, do you want ZEC to rise? If you do, why you put 40-50-60 btc sell walls on poloniex during pumps? Do you really think that your lazy trading will bring you profit? Place small bids several times during the pump if you are so eager to sell at that price. Thank you!

will a 600W PSU be enough for a Kaby Lake rig running 2 x RX480 (Sapphire Nitro 8GB)?

A Kaby Lake CPU has a TDP between 4.5W and 91W, so not much information in here.

But never mind, for 2x480 a 600W PSU should be a good choice. Not very high costs, proper reserves and good load point for high efficiency during normal operation.

Happy mining!
