I didn't notice any speed advantage, so I guess you can use the previous version, if your cards are stable with it.

The fee is still 2 and 2.5%.

Can i mine Zcash with a ATI 6850?

From page 1 of this thread:
This version is for recent AMD videocards only: 7xxx, 2xx, 3xx and 4xx, 1GB or more.

So no. I think you can use his XMR miner with older 6XXX cards so instead of scrapping it you can use it for something.

HD 6850 should work - it won't be real efficient (nothing Terrascale works as well on ZCash mining as the newer GCN cards) but it SHOULD work.

I did some testing on the GPU side of one of my A10-5700s a while back (which is ALSO Terrascale) and it mined - a whopping 11 or 12 sol/s compared to my 7750s that do about 50 (same number of cores and core clock, much slower memory for the A10, 7750 IS GCN).

I seriously doubt 95% of ZEC mining is on Claymore - there are too many VERY competative alternatives.

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!

That would most likely be a waste of electricity. HD 6850 would be ever nearly competitive with new cards.

Would not it be possible to improve eth?
Have some pool that are not connecting
About ZCash
What defines its performance because NVIDIA is much better than AMD in that currency?

Eth miner can be improved past Claymore's AMD GCN ASM Ethash kernel. First, you need to make the damn thing stable, though - he seemed to see others using ASM, and decided to himself... but raw speed matters little if the GPUs/rigs keep dropping like flies. THEN focus on speed.

Whats not stable about CM miner?
You mean it should work better on OCed (pushed to the edge) rigs?
Asking, cause I dont have any problems on my hardware, but I am running mods + underclock + undervolt.

Can second that. Obsessed with efficiency, I run all my cards, even Nitro+ versions, at ~ 26.5 mh/s and they have been rock stable for months across several versions of claymores.

Been running my 470 4G's at 31.5Mh NOT using claymore and it's been stable as a rock for a few weeks.
And guess what. No fee Wink

Same for my Nitro 480's, 32Mh rocksolid.

The thing is, Claymore made it so that my grandma can turn on a computer and start mining. Damn good business model, gotta give him that. And to be clear, nothing wrong with that!
But comon, where's the fun in that?

Yeah Sgminer is a bit more complex, you need to do some things yourself, but if you know what and how, you can top claymore's (reported) speed and then some.

Again, what Claymore has done, is made mining simple for everyone and turned himself into a millionair while doing that. Kudo's to him.

What i do dislike is the fact that a lot of "his" idea's aren't really his idea's. Exactly what Wolf is trying to point out.

Anyhow, enjoy while it lasts.

Greetings!

Could you share the configuration line?
What version is using and how to get 32mh / s without errors

Referring to cgminer 5.5.4-gm
What settings can i use for eth and which calculations should i make last time i tried to use gave more than 50% WD error

I did it in SGMiner-GM - but the kernel isn't in there. I usually replace the "ethash-new" binary with my own ASM kernel binary, and then run it.
Is it possible to share this kernel?
Or is it in gatelessgate-0.1.3-pre6b-win64?

Kernel is not public, of course. If I WAS going to share it, I'd at least make it a closed-source miner with some fun anti-reverse-engineering traps.

Hum ... but the income is high?
Why not create a miner with fell and shaped to avoid capture by claymore

I think that's why ethminer does not get more support because it improves and gains the support of not creating the dag file in hd does the dag at high speed the closed minerals simply face the resource and stays for the same

12.5 is a slap in the face  with a big F U to those saying he's not releasing new versions and to lower his fee

The only people that deserve a slap in the face are entitled people like you bitching about software you didnt code or pay up front for. If you dont like the devfee its really simple, dont use it. Dont expect him to remove the fee just because a few cheapskates are whining about it.

Stop buying industrial miners, running them at home, and then complaining about the noise.

Why are all these comments about mining ETH, especially with non-Claymore miners, in this thread?

Personally i have no issue with the dev fee. This guy/gal claymore clearly knows how to code these miners, make them better and puts time in developing a working product.
So what if there is a cut to use the program, isn't there with everything in life? You are going to pay one way or the other, and people who render services ought to get something out of it.
Thank you claymore, keep doing what you do. You are a valuable asset to the community.
