The coins are moving...   Huh

They're breaking it up into 1000 BTC wallets. Somebody please explain to me why this action needs to be done.

i filed a claim for one wallet but the other wallet url won't get me anywhere.

I've tried 5 wallet URL's now. Two with coin, 3 empty. 404 error on all 5 of them. This is fucking bullshit.

Anyone else has any success?
Same thing here. And if I just go into http://www.instawallet.org/
It is a endless loading loop

seems like everyone got word that claims are getting filed and their server can't handle the bandwidth. you don't get the money back till next month apparently.

They are just writing a melancholic memorial to their site. It means, "We had a good thing here until coins became worth so much that the barbarian hordes broke down the gates and stole them. They ruined a beautiful thing."  (Source: I'm a poetry major)

Please post here whether you can access your wallet for the claims process or whether you get a 404 error.

Code:
<!-- RIP 2011 - 2013 -->
<!-- You had your time when coins weren't so precious. -->

This is not in the source code as of right now anyway.. I also tried an instawallet url - although there's no coins in it, so don't know if they would include those anyway.

It gives:

Code:
The page you were looking for doesn't exist.

You may have mistyped the address or the page may have moved.

BUT....

-------------------------------------------
Not Found

The requested URL /w/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx was not found on this server.

Apache/2.2.17 (Ubuntu) Server at instawallet.org Port 443
-------------------------------------------

Received this page for both my wallets.

You guys are fucking jokers.

We all have a breaking point, where things just gets too much. The 'fucking jokers' statement was my impression already from the set go when this started to unfold. I am glad that civilized diplomatic persons like you speak their mind bluntly as well - I'd prefer if everybody always spoke their mind bluntly, those unable to handle it, should develop thicker skins.

I've assumed that these guys are criminal from the start of this debacle. I always assumes the worst, that way I will have to treat everything that's not the worst as a bonus.

According to my google fu, this is Boussac, unless of course he has used a fake image throughout - although I do doubt that:

Real names and adresses will easily be found through their associated banks. I believe an investigation could get that information. Not at all sure if the police in france can be bothered with this though.. Or if they're competent enough to handle it. As you probably understand by now, I don't have much faith in the legal system, as it usually favours those with the deepest pockets..

Disclaimer : I have no affiliation with Paymium. I am only a customer of Bitcoin Central.

1. Please state your full real name and your current position with Paymium (and whether you are a shareholder, director or employee).

I strongly believe Boussac's real name is Pierre Noizat, COO and co founder of Paymium.

He has. See above

3. Please provide the case number and filing date of the report you state Paymium has filed with the police.

There is no such thing as a "case number" in France. He could probably post a scan of the report, but I believe it would contain information that right now it would not be wise to publish. (Like what exactly happened, who they suspect if it is an insider job, and so on)

4. Please provide Paymium’s formal contact details: office address and telephone number.

The legal address if Paymium is :
 73 Rue du Chateau
 92100 BOULOGNE BILLANCOURT (see here)

They don't have a public phone number in the french phone book

5. Please state whether (...)

Can't answer the other questions since I have no more information than anybody here.

It seems like it's correct that is his real name, if he's listed correctly on linkedin.

He's also on facebook:

Davout haven't been active on the forum in a while:

Can think of it being a good story for a hollywood movie, the thiefs stole lots of coins, then bought a ticket to a tax heaven with their last savings, retiring with what they thought was a few million worth of USD in crypto-money, and then when landing on their tax-heaven realized everything has gone to zero! (Not that it's going to happen, but still a nice plot - imagine their faces when they pull up their smart phones after landing to see the value of the coins, and it shows it's all gone to zero! hehehe.

Anyway, whois information for paymium:

I would advise them to consult an indpendent company for a complete security audit of their IT systems.

How condescending .
Had you read my posts, you would have known that we did hire experts without waiting for your advice..
We rebuilt a complete production environment from scratch.

He seems to be quite thin skinned.

Also, you could have people help you with these issues if you have lack of resources.

We do not lack resources for the claim process that was outlined.

Seems from the reports they can't even get the reclaim procedure right, so it that is not lack of resources, what is it ? Incompetency ?

UPDATE

We are currently developing and preparing the online claim form.
We appreciate your patience as we work with limited resources.
We regret not being able to do more as Instawallet was a free service (zero fees) and could not pay for additional resources.
However, we would like to reassure you that we will have the claims processed in due time, by the end of the initial 90-day period.
The claim form is schedule for delivery by Friday, April 12th.

Any particular reason you will not handle claims on an ongoing basis. Did you at all read my post ?

There are absolutely no excuses at this point, your reputation is at stake. Personally, at this point, I will not use or recommend any services that you're involved in.

Watching.
Didi you care to read my point about resources ?
We ran this services at our own expenses and pledged to refund everybody (at least those under 50 BTC: the very few people who stored more will be handled on a case by case basis): what more can we do ?

Communicate better, and pretend you care - we all know by now that you don't have the ability to care, so fake it professionally, please.

davout, the owner, just stole everyone's balance on bitcoin-central.com and instawallet.org

hello bitcoin world,
I am Pierre. just started a project RE Bitcoin trading in EUR (Paris resident entrepreneur); can't disclose too much on a post but interested in hiring some btc skilled developper with experience in mobile apps (droid).

Goes along with the claim that his real name is Pierre Noizat.

Since he's been around since 2011 though - that means that either he hasn't scammed until now, or he's actually legit, but have a huge issue with communicating in an adult manner.

Either, he's been using a fake identity from the set go, waiting for an opportunity to scam, or he is legit and his real name and info is out in the open. He should not be too hard to find it anyone went to Paris if that's the case...

[...]

So I've started developing something that would look like MyBitcoin but having in sight to add lots of interesting features and try out some economic models...

[...]

Maybe that was before MyBitcoin went down in flames, but the similarites are striking..

Ah well - perhaps it's just unfounded everything - time will show.. Seems like it's possible to get at the persons in question though.

Comedy ensues:

I personnally tested my urls on the claim form and it worked.
If you are getting a 404 error it could be that your url is made up.
All instawallet urls that have received transactions are in the database.

The last transaction into my one wallet for the claim came from another wallet I control. I would like to do the "Cryptographic proof of ownership" thing:

"If you or someone you know controls the private key of a Bitcoin address that sent a transaction to this wallet, you can help us by providing cryptographic evidence. The owner of the emitting Bitcoin address can sign a message and generate a signature which we can use to prove ownership of this wallet. In the fields below, enter the Bitcoin address of the emitter, a message, and the signature of the message generated by the private key associated with the Bitcoin address."

Can anyone advise a non-tech how to do this??

Thanks

One of my wallets for the claim shows 0.00 balance and shows only the wallet key and bitcoin address, and has the message "The wallet balance may not include the latest transactions. We will update them before we process the claims." and there is no option to fill claim information in.

The single transaction into this wallet was done shortly before Instawallet went down - so this is plausible.

Boussac could you please advise when and how we will be able to fill in claim information for wallets of this nature?

*** As I am probably on Boussac's ignore list he may not see this. Could someone please re-post this and ask him to elucidate.

Thanks

As long as instawallet have private keys to the adress you sent bitcoins to, which they should have, then the bitcoins should be able to be reclaimed. However, it's startingly that these persons simply ignore and evade all legitimate questions. I'm probably ignored too, so please somebody random, quote this post as well!

I am not impressed by the way they do business. When you do business and things gets fucked up, you take responsibility and stand erect and explain to the customers what is going on, you don't ignore everyone that's not 'nice' to you. That's how a spoiled child behaves. If it was the other way around, that someone else ran the wallets, and the instawallet owners were holding 100 BTC there, I don't think they would've been too happy about it.

Anyway, my instawallet address still gives not found with the procedure you described, but it contains zero btc, so perhaps they zapped all such accounts.

Boussac, it would be great if you can address this (for me and for others). I've not had a response in the forums, and I'm sure there are many like me who have zero idea how to do this. Not everyone who uses Bitcoin understands how to do this kind of stuff.

Since it is your proposed process it would be great if you can tell us how to do it. If there was a hacker then I am sure he can do it because he is into this kind of stuff. Probably the rest of us are not.

Also is it possible to submit the claim now in order to get it in first and then come back to the page later to add the Crypto stuff? Or do we only get one shot at it?

(Please someone repost in case I am on M. Noizat's ignore list.)

Thanks
