My meagre amount's paid out, thanks guys Cheesy

Bit concerned about the expired SSL certificate - I thought you were planning on relaunching instawallet.org at some point?  Bad timing for the certificate to be left to expire during the claims process at the very least...

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

So guys what's happening???

It's now 20th July. I'm still missing a lot of bitcoins. I responded to your most recent request Boussac and have not had a reply from my PMs to you or Davout even though you have both been online.

This is exactly what we were talking about regarding communication. I have given you everything you asked for and verified all claims. Why have some people been paid and I haven't. Sad

More than a little disappointed this morning.

Got all my coins back. Took "a while", but they kept their word and shorted out a very complicated situation.

I am really happy now. Thank you!

Bitcoin tx ID = 998d15b620272eb71f48cbfb9695d2a2d8a42738b62e7e348611e504acc4baa6
One of those payouts is for 11509 BTC which is $1,064,927 at todays exchange rate. Wow!

that's not a payout. It's what remains in the instawallet so far. SO they paid out about 3kBTC so far.

I have given you everything you asked for and verified all claims.
That is not true.
You did not respond to the verification request contained in my PM. Please read my PM.

I responded to your PM within 1 minute of you sending it to me  in the response I asked a question which you must have seen and chosen to ignore.

I have already sent pictures of my ID to Davout but I will resend them again to you if you need which I don't understand given that you have already paid out to one of my destination wallets.

I will resend it to you within an hour for you. I do not expect to be waiting until next Friday for this payout. I did everything I needed to do and when I approved my payouts I was told I was on the list for 19th July payouts. This extra confirmation when all confirmation asked for had been given before yesterday.

Look forward to getting this sorted today.

One of my buddies told me that they received a payout in the 25-35btc range yesterday and I finally received a response from Boussac stating that I should probably receive my payout next week (even though I haven't received any emails from anyone saying I have to verify anything)... let us hope that everything gets sorted correctly. I am trying to remain as patient as possible as I know they have a lot of work on their plates.

Thinking back on things, I probably had some Instawallets that I experimented with and forgot about with tiny sums, or with what were tiny sums when the price was in the single digits.  I don't suppose that Bitcoin-Central will tell us what their take was from unclaimed wallets.  Hopefully they will at least be good guys and distribute such proceeds to the large wallet holders which they may or may not be able to make whole.

About the time Instawallet went down I found a stash in a plain old wallet file in the multiple hundreds (of BTC) which I had forgotten about.  A nice little surprise, and indicative of how us 'old timers' can lose track of what can eventually become a noticeable amount of value.  Thankfully I'd 'cleaned out' my Bitcoinica account before those guys took their pay-day, but I still had 2 or 3 BTC there.  At $5/BTC it wasn't a big deal but now it kind of irks me a bit that ~vess or whoever has several hundred dollars which they stole from me.

Again, I hope that when the dust settles, Bitcoin-Central can find the time to issue a credible report on all of the happenings and it would go some distance toward demonstrating that they are, on some level at least, trustworthy.

I had a wallet that I lost he URL of last year with 200btc in. At the time it was worth £600 and I just wrote it off as the warning about losing the urls was very clear.

For the record I also had an instawallet account that I lost the link to at least one year ago which definitely contained around $500usd worth of btc at the time (my computer froze before I could save the link to a text file)... many lessons have been learned the hard way over the past couple of years.

No, the amount was stated incorrectly. I rejected it and then the next day it stated it as 0.0BTC so I rejected again. I just want to make sure it's not forgotten about!

You need to go at your old INSTA address where you will have to press a button, without that no money you will see

If this answer is directed at me, then i have already done that... it is stated that i did that in my previous post

"I confirmed my payout was correct, again on the same day that you started asking everyone to do so."
The reason for the delay can only be multiple claims for the same wallet: we need to sort things out.
People with wallets under 50 BTC and no multiple claims on their wallets have been paid out.

So how do we proceed with sorting this out?
I have never been contacted by you or your team, i assumed this was a good sign.

When i confirmed there was no indication of any problem, and the payout address was the one i specified when making my initial claim.

Hi boussac,

I've addressed you my claims on the starting of this thread but still haven't heard about any solution.

I have a few missing wallets. They contain less than 50 BTC and havent been refunded at all.
What should I do ?

note : other wallets that were not missing have been refunded in full.

Thank You,

Please DO NOT contact us unless you have a claim over 50 BTC.

Here is the text i get when I enter my missing wallets url's :

Quote
Wallet not found
Report a missing wallet

Your wallet maybe missing because it received funds only after April 1st when Instawallet was suspended.

If that is the case, please use the comment field to tell us the transaction that you would to be taken into account for a refund.

Please do not report a missing wallet if it did not receive any transaction.

Who should i contact to resolve this issue ? My missing wallets contained up to 45BTC.

Thanks in advance for your help,
finway

I may made two claims by myself, with the same withdraw address.
When will this be solved ?  (less than 50BTC)

"Multiple" claims mean multiple payout addresses for the same wallet.
If what you state is correct, you should have been paid: if you havent, the likely reason is "multiple claims".
You have no way of knowing if someone else filed a claim with a different payout address, we do.
We are working to resolve "multiple claims" this week.

I have not received my payout and when accessing my address I get the following:

Quote
www.instawallet.org uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate expired on 07/17/2013 01:59 AM. The current time is 07/22/2013 11:21 AM.

(Error code: sec_error_expired_certificate)

And cannot move beyond that.
