chrome refuses to do business with instawallet.org due to the expired cert. in firefox you can add an exception to access it.

I am in firefox and I usually see the "add exception" button but don't have it here.. maybe I have some obscure addon or privacy setting.

I had to use FireFox to open it. Can you imagine the level of security? ^)

this is a scam, 3BTC and still no money, how many people were involved and why no one writes about getting shit instead of Bitcoins?
No surprise, I told they were scammers pretending to return money just in order to get enough time to enjoy new identity on a distant island.

People have Had some money returned mate.
It might not have been as smooth as we were hoping for but I'm sure the money is coming back.
Maybe your claim had an issue?

I have one wallet which has been paid out.
The other one was witheld as they wanted to verify my identity. This has now been done and I am expecting the money on Friday.

the message on the site was implying that the payments were due on 1th or what was the date, then postponing many times so what is that? I forgive you what I owe you? OR I know I owe you, but I will give you back not soon?

I doubt that they like me a lot and they paid me. OTOH, I had a relatively small number of BTC, made no mistakes in the claims process, and apparently the thief who (potentially) compromised their database did not make a claim for my modest URL. FWIW, I very deliberately neglected to visit my wallet URL even once until just before the deadline. This I did so that the access logs would be pristine in case I chose to peruse things farther on the legal front. It's water under the bridge at this point since I don't have much basis for any reasonable complaint.

I realized they were hacked before they realized it, btw and even before anyone else - when I saw my money dissapear before my eyes that was clear as a day = but for a few maybe hours it was calm on the forums
anyways, they were implying they would pay in one batch. Now what? Five years?
so all my claims were on time, trust on that

Hello davout and Boussac, I've sent a PM to both of you and an email to David at david@bitcoin-central.net. I've not yet heard back from either of you, and I truly hope you will respond soon. It appears the my coins were paid by you to a wrong address. I have sent a screenshot of the confirmation page of my wallet URL (to david@bitcoin-central.net) which shows the correct payout address, and which I confirmed. But the exact amount of BTC that was in my wallet was paid out to a different address according to the transaction broadcast on the blockchain. Please respond as I am very concerned about this. My funds may not be a lot to some people here but it is a lot of money for me. I have waited patiently since the hack and not got involved in the discussion on the forum as I trusted all would be well. I still trust this but I am worried that no-one is responding to me. Please, could you... Satine

Still no sign of the coins Send them a message here, on e-mail or post a dedicated thread, and give them a 7 day hard deadline. After that deadline has passed and if you have not received your coins, file an official complaint with your local french embassy, any trade organisation that's suitable, and send a letter to their banking partner, +file a complaint with the police in their jurisdiction. Even if that probably would not help a single bit, if an entity receives some complaints, it might look into it, and besides it's bad PR, which they rightfully deserve to receive if they don't handle the case properly. The waiting time has been long enough, it's time to bring out real consequences. And it's never about the amount, but always about the principle.

Still no sign of the coins They might have a lot of problems to handle right now, and will do a case-by-case solving.

Not going to read all this thread but as people go on record with their state, here is mine: No feedback at all for none of my 4 claims.
Ok, now I got it. I have to go there *again* and confirm again that I want my money back??? Wtf? Hope it comes soon now for the 2 addresses that had no conflict. e4620242-81e0-406c-8032-c39541ef66dc is in conflict and I wonder I didn't hear from them. It's only 1cɃ but the thief doesn't deserve a Satoshi, so yeah, why didn't you ask me for any details. It was actually a plain text wallet which name derives from a social activity I follow since a year if that would make any change in the claims process. Want to hear the other guy. #4 is a bit more complicated and I will need my Farsi translator again. Gnah.
Ok, not mailing to the provided addresses and not auto-releasing funds that only need a "yes i want" click looks kind of awkward to me!?!? Do you hope people forget to click?
