Is Zcash worth to invest in it?

Yeah. Until nothing exciting comes out for ZCash, in my own opinion, it will have a hard time trying to fit in the markets and become a popular cryptocurrency for financial privacy.

Most recently, ZEC's price have been rising near the $80 mark, but I believe that this is temporary l, and the coin would return to its original levels once the altcoin hype is over (because of traders moving into alts because of Bitcoin's slow confirmation times)

It is up to this date, where ZCash doesn't even have a usable GUI. (not to mention that it is exclusively for use in Linux now) In contrast, Komodo provides Zcash features, along with a stable GUI, a DEX, multicurrency wallet, and more. This last one has potential to increase in price sometime in the future. Right now it is below ICO price, but you can take advantage of this opportunity to buy cheap coins and claim huge profit, once its value begins to rise.

Nevertheless, only time will tell whenever these ZCash/Zcoin based cryptocurrencies will succeed and become useful in the mainstream world. Just my thoughts.

You mean if they're using zcash to be off-chain transaction? I don't think so. It caused by the hardfork rumour of bitcoin. Most of the bitcoin holders are scared to see the chain of bitcoin will be splitting in the future and they're just trying to save his decimal into another coin.

I will be honest about this coin. Zcash is absolutely not worth to be a long term investment, because you know from the first time it's created with very high price for an altcoin. But it's good to earn money when you trade it for short time condition. It's better to hold dash than zcash.

I think for zcas possibility still hard to achieve top prices, but in view of the price is very stable and very good for trade ..

It is really goos for trading purpose but in terms of price it is a really huge loss for people who inveest in it as i remember ths starting price was 45$ or something and now the price is around 75$ which isn't very bad but i still don't trust it

Zcash is a good pump coin. Just dump all your btc in it, wait for the magic to happen and get double btc out of it. Long term: not worth it because price is high now because of only 80000 zcash is avaliable, it will be 21 000 000. So nah. But still technology behind it is promosing and they also work togheter with ethereum what caused in the pump of the last weeks. Keep a look on this coin guys!

Zcash is famous to my mind and if we look coinmarketcup, we can see that this coin is 11th but to trust this coin is very hard because of it's price history isn't good for me. At dirst it worths some bitcoins but than it dropped and now it's nearly 0.065btc, when coin falls from thousand dollars into even not hundred, it seems there is something wrong.

I agree with you, fully. But see it as a trader not as a holder. I advice everyone to use altcoins to trade, never to hold. Because of ZEC ridicilous high entry price it wouldnt get much lower than now. Its quite popular by small miners because of its nice reward. ZEC is here to stay so dont expect it to dissapear lol. It has a good technology behind it , it looks a lot like monero (ZSNARK) so ZEC is very anonymous and easy to trade. They also work togheter with Ethereum so ZEC will have a good furture. I still advice you all to just buy the real deal : bitcoin. No altcoins unless its pumping like hell and you can buy more btc with it

I meant because of Bitcoin's latest scaling debate, which has caused many traders and investors to look out for other alternatives. As Bitcoin's future is uncertain, many who are into Bitcoin (like me) are moving their cards into other promising coins. So far, Dash looks very promising as it has a wide array for features like instant transactions, privacy, and a hashing algorithm which is ASIC resistant, allowing anyone with a GPU to mine coins easily.

Nevertheless, I hope that would get the attention it deserves, by improving itself each day in development and innovation. The technology that it provides is very convenient for transaction privacy, and might solve one of Bitcoin's known issues called fungibility. With ZK-SNARK tech, cryptocurrencies can become fungible just like cash.

Yeah. The Iguana wallet for Komodo still has a few bugs, but I believe that once they're addressed in the stable version, the price of each coin will rise probably at ICO levels or higher. That's why I've been holding into the coin for quite some time, and I'm not planning to spend it until an uptrend in price come out. The features it provides, are truly remarkable and may become a better alternative than ZEC itself. Just my opinion.

I hope you're right man, I bought some at polo when it was around $64 and now it is at $55, so I hope I don't all my investment and it does pump again to recover my investment at least.

better invest in XMR, DASH, Ripples, ETH these are the most valuable currency after bitcoin.

In my opinion, the development for ZEC is slow, leaving other alternatives with faster development and innovation ahead of them. It will only be a matter before ZEC's true price will be seen on the markets, once the first four years of mining (founder's reward) end.

When the GUI wallet is announced, there would be major hype among ZEC users and outside investors, making its price increase like skyrocket. But if devs cannot keep up with innovation and stability to the cryptocurrency, then ZEC would decrease in price exponentially over the course of time.

It would be interesting to see a GUI wallet available for other operating systems such as Windows and Mac OS to increase user acceptance into this anon coin. User friendliness is key towards making a cryptocurrency succeed, in my own opinion. Only time will tell if ZEC can maintain its place among other evolving alternatives. Just my thoughts.

Both zcash and zclassic are just "worth" something in theory, and it's highly speculative since no markets that i know actually accept them, so even if they
are indeed highly annonymous, that feature is useless because it's not used anywhere.

Also, the prices, even right now of ~0,25 btc/zec is imho over-over-over hyped if you look at how many new coins will enter market in under a month.
There's just astronomical chances market will be interested in keeping and fueling these prices.

I traded zcash while the price was jumping up and down around 1 btc purely to make some btc profit off of it, and honestly it was as if we were passing
hot potato one to another, noone was really interested in the coins as such.

Agreed, right now, ZCash is only being used for mining. Monero is mined, traded, no company behind it, and is the most anonymous coin out there. Forget ZEC.
