Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ?

With all due respect sir, yes a fraction of Bitcoin users are using it for drugs, gambling, porn but that's just a fraction of them. There are many who are using it for saving, converting to Fiat, investing them or buying goods, so don't think that entire community is missing it. The fraction that is best to avoid them, even Normal currency is used for all this, btc can't be made scapegoat.

Basically people prefer bitcoin than fiat because we can freely use it. In addition bitcoin prices that fluctuate make users can get profits.
Because bitcoin have the freedom might it that makes frequently used for porn sites, gambling, drugs. But I think bitcoin is not used to it, but for investments and an alternative currency. But it was not much different from fiat, many are using fiat for porn sites, gambling, drugs. So that both are not much different, the difference is the people who use it.

Abuse is not a reference to reducing the privilege bitcoin, All currency in this world can be used for anything, but still doesn't diminish their value.

For the purchase of drugs I agree with your opinion, but for gambling and porn as entitlement to an adult human. I think your opinion is only referring to the validity of bitcoin and slanted news about illicit business involving bitcoin.

We still run a business that is positive, if indeed you are not involved with the gambling and the other, ignore it, because it was too pragmatic.

That's individuality! Different people will have different choices and hence some people likes bitcoin over fiat. But for me, I feel it is wise to go with both. Take bitcoin as an investment and use fiat for your daily expenses. By seeing the current price of bitcoin, I hope you all have understood by now, that it is better to store bitcoin instead of wasting it for mobile recharge.

There is no doubt that the bitcoin price has been a huge factor to it being popular but most of the people don't actually prefer bitcoin over fiat , they just see bitcoin as a way to get real money , they see it as an investment to help them get fiat , but if there is people out there saying that they like bitcoin over fiat they are lying because they can't go to the supermarket and pay with btc.

What I found from most users who prefer bitcoin than fiat is due to its secure nature that can't be stolen easily. Important thing is its increased pricing compared to other altcoins as well fiat. No other currency acts as a potential investment similar to bitcoin which surely grows regularly with certain time interval.

There is no way we can eradicate the use of Bitcoin for social vices that you mentioned above even the Fiat we all use people still use for same purpose and there is anything anybody can do about it and does that mean Fiat is bad? No. I have seen read porn sites accepts credit card payments which means if tomorrow the world adopts another form of currency, they will definitely switch because they need to sell their services and receive payment in return...

Well in my case, right now I'd prefer bitcoin just because of the transaction speed that is a great advantage and the fact that the price is still rising, so it's a good investment still.

People find bitcoin useful for those kinds of services because it is relatively anonymous, doesn't leave any sort of record of you specifically using the service and just an address that was used, and is free from taxation in many parts of the world.

Porn and drugs are great to get in an anonymous manner, gambling because no taxes and easy withdrawals.

It's not used only for it. People are building their lifes in a decent and honest way with Bitcoins too. It's possible to increase the amount of money we have just for holding it, next, with a larger amount of money, we can invest it to start working with something, a good thing, no?

Bitcoin is money and money is used for all kind of things, illegal and legal. Don't blame BTC for it.

People will do the same activities with fiat, and bitcoin are not responsible for that. I think you can see like the ethical way you use the currency, in any modern society you always have someone who will use it for another purpose.

It should not be seen as the fault of bitcoin when some people chose to use it for negativity, because we are living in a free society these days and some persons are only happy, when they swim against the tide! Nevertheless, for majority of bitcoiners, they are unto bitcoin, because they see its huge potentials and the bright future ahead of it.

Whether bitcoins or fiat, both are being used for such purposes and that's not bitcoin is made up for, but when there is graciousness and benevolence, there will be enormity and rebelliousness too. We can't control minds, we can just expect and so, let that unhealthy society be kept aside if you don't want it to be a part of us, but you cannot ask them to get themselves removed as because they have become a "part" now.

I can understand that some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat because maybe in their countries the national fiat currency is weak and/or they are underpaid in fiat so getting payment in Bitcoin gives them advantage.

I mean, any currency can be used for such purposes, of course, but there are always some nice things it is used for as well. Thus, there is a balance there but if we think about bitcoin then it is mostly associated with such activities. However, it is not only the fault of consumers, you know. It is just hard to use btc for buying food, do charity or some other things.

To be fair, it's not like it really matters all that much for a lot of people. Individuals are going to spend their money on whatever it is they want, and they don't really care what happens to it beyond that.

BTC is only made a scapegoat by people who believe tat fiat is some amazing tool only used for good; something we all know is BS. I doubt many people really care about BTC who say they don't like it.

What's the point of getting angry because people use Bitcoin to gamble or to buy drugs? It doesn't hurt anyone beside themselves, so there is no point of anyone getting upset about this. If people get angry because of that, then they should get angry on people doing the same with fiat. Otherwise it won't make any sense.

It is being used like that, and it's not okay. It's also a cause of bad people to abuse it because of its potential. I just hope there are not a lot of individuals who are using it illegally. It's just that in their mind, they can get away with it.
