pascal speed is now almost same as opencl sgminer implementation ~1% difference
would be nice if it would be possible to have a full range of freq/voltage control as the afterburner freq/volt graph where you can select and lock desired GPU (not the arbitary adjuster from base clock but fixed frequency) freq/voltage but its kinda hard to do it on rig with 5 cards
I guess its kinda impossible to find documentation to access freq/voltage curve and set fixed value as Nvidia wants to make use stupid boost which is not best for mining as its hard to lower voltage while the frequency jump up/down

It is not possible to set fixed freq, boost is handled by NVIDIA driver/hardware. You can only set delta freq (+/-). Currently, we have fixed this range, but in future versions we will read what each card supports. For now, majority of cards should work OK. Forgot to mention; for pascal/sha256t, play with params to get better speed. Defaults may not be the best for your card.

I know but the how afterburner can edit freq/vol curve and set/force specific frequency (when its set and locked with key "L" frequency stay all the time same, also voltage is locked at desired level you set it) I know this future is not documented in any NV docs, but afterburner author got it from NV prolly, as he is kinda "their" man that do all OC tools we see

Mind explaining how to do it? Regarding overclocking; there is one more feature that's going to be added and that is setting fan speed. Combined with existing features of overclocking core, memory and setting TDP, there is all that 95% of miners need. We will not give option to set voltage (we could, but modifying voltage is one step closer to voiding warranties, or damaging components). is -ca -ca exactly like running -cd 0 0 1 1 etc...?
Yes, at start of miner, you can detect which threads - devices have been initialized. -ca -ca will not order them nicely though.

ok, i'm experience a strange bug or something, don't know how to call it, when at launch of the miner, some gpu don't run, it happen randomly, other time it go right and all gpu begin to hash
btw can you add solo mining? only stratum is supported currently

Run with -f 0 and paste log file here. Solo mining will never be supported.

Thanks for the new version, this is the best news since there is again a new competition between zCash nvidia miners . Althought i still find it a little bit slower than ewbf on the same settings. 2450 sols vs 2221 sols (5x 1070 + 1x 1060) using twice -ca -ca, settings. Anyone with similar results or is it just me?

Thanks for the new version, power reading doesn't seems to work on my nvidia's 1070 (reading @ -1w) i like the idea of the power efficiency tool. i do about 2570 sols/s @60% tdp (about 112w for me) still a bit slower than ewbf (~2700), but you're catching up !

@NiceHashSupport
In afterburner ctrl+F
move the desired dot to clock you wish, or better just move the core clock slider (which will move the whole graph up by freq) so desired frequency match voltage you wish, select the freq/volt dot and click "L" which lock like say 2000Mhz to 0.95v (I use that setting for LBC)
problem is you must do same for each GFX on the rig as it can be saved for all cards at once

I see now, didn't even realize this feature existed, thanks But again, I doubt we will be going that deep, perhaps it would be possible to do (since Afterburner is doing it), but it is too much effort for too little result. Most of the things we need are already achieved with standard overclocking and TDP. Whoever needs more, can use Afterburner. Does nvidia-smi works for reading your power usage? equihash is just public kernel, but we have one small optimisation ready (more speed with same TDP) for next version.

BTW: can nvidia-smi show you power usage in W ?
