This isnt a bearish pattern.   Each low has been higher then the previous.   A trend can break but its mostly positive in my view.    Theres a flat top to the highs which suggests we need to break through some resistance.
Overall longer term obviously we have had a downtrend and I guess sideways after that decline should be taken as a positive also.  So the rough top now is quite a high curb, it was the chunk of lows in November end before we rose in December alot.   It was Jan low and its been significant this month also.
Indeed over the last few days the lows have all been getting higher, but unless 9092 gets tested , and properly broken , and then a daily close above 9500,  I'm still bearish

If you are that way inclined just search on Grindr - I'm sure you'll find somebody more local than on here with much better accuracy

So in my view the enormous spike and the enormous dip that followed was an anomaly that should simply be ignored.
If we look at it as a dip from 10 000 instead, the recovery we are seeing now is quite normal and we will see 20 000 in a couple of months, followed by 40 000 three to four months after that and 80 000 by years end. Unless of course there is another end of year FOMO, in which case we might go to 120 000 or more followed by another super dip in January.

Quoting myself.

This introspect navel watching is only confusing. Look at the longer term trends instead. It always goes up in December and always dips in January/Februari and then goes up until summer when it goes down a little and some sideways action, and then it goes up again in the fall/winter and spikes in December.
And so far it just follows this pattern, no reason to panic.

We haven’t broken the downtrend on the weekly, although we are bumping our heads against it.

not based on a dammed thing, just pulling it out of my ass, I could easily see a break down here and a retest of the ascending line around 6200

I hope not.

If we go below $6,666, then we be fucked, and $3k be in the realm of possibilities, so I prefer not to go below $6,666.

What is happening on February 23?

I actually think that we have decent chances of going up, or otherwise, maybe it is still safe if BTC prices were to continue to bounce around between $7k and $10k, but I am going to start to get nervous if $7k gets broken... because that just puts prices closer to $6,666.66..  Cry Cry

0n the opposite end, I won't be so nervous if $10k resistance gets broken.. since that is the preferable direction, anyhow... and takes us further away from those lower price areas and closer to $11,111.11..and probably if we were to stay above $10k for a while, further support would develop to allow a bit of comfort that the floor is in.... still too early to tell though, right?

Trading is very slow for me over the last 24 hours or so - I'm filling only a couple of orders an hour - usually its 20-30 orders and hour.

Where is all the action at?

Tera bera and Jbreher bera...   look - we have just discovered that they are related.....

Only relative of mine that you are likely to be familiar with is my cousin from Boulder, CO, USA - Falling Bear.

Tera bera is however an esteemed colleague.

I ain't 'playing victim'. There is a wide gulf from permissionless innovation that you don't happen to care for, and outright lying in order to besmirch character.
I understood the first sentence, but I couldn't make sense of the second. Care to explain?

Certainly. MoA stated that I engaged in spamming in order to cripple Bitcoin Segwit. Of course, I have done nothing of the sort. As might be deduced from the fact that MoA was unable to provide a single shred of evidence for such an accusation. Ergo, MoA was lying. Likely in order to besmirch my character.

On the other end of the statement, the leveraging of Satoshi client assets by the Bitcoin Cash project is part and parcel of open source. There is nothing untoward nor illegitimate about doing so. This is how open source technology progresses.

Did you know after it went up towards 20k that within a month or so it would hit 6K?  I didn't.

No. But given the history, I was quite confident that, after it went up a lot in a short amount of time, it would nearly certainly drop significantly. It's not like we've not seen Bitcoin do that before.

Did I know $20K for the top? $6K for the bottom? No.

Which is why I have a trading strategy that does not rely on guessing correctly at minima and maxima.

As to the particular case, I searched through jbreher's posts to find where he told us of his employment, but gave up because the deceitfulness was all too depressing.
Perhaps he'd honour us with the relevant quote alluded to in the part I underlined, and we can take it from there.

I didn't claim that I posted anything definitive about my employment. My post indicated that my previous posting history would make a mockery of the claim that I as a USG asset.

Incidentally, what deceitfulness are you referring to?

Hey Jbreher

What sort of a listing fee was paid by Bcash to Coinbase?

Does Brian Armstrong receive a regular payment in Bcash?
