why do you think the growth is linear? here is a curve I have created. This curve is very primitive of course (I spent 2 min. for it) but it is very clear that the increase of the price is not linear.

by the wayr^2=0.886, which means the prediction model is 88% accurate.

Help me out here, I've missed something.
If that curve is maintained and roughly predicts future price, BTC is never hitting $20k again.
If not, it's inaccurate right now and so no good at predicting future price anyway.

How did you figure that out? Even if we follow this line, it still very well may hit $20k and above.

Don't you see there are "anomalies" every once in a while here and there?

There are many speculative charts and modellings on the price of btc. My favorite one is this;

https://mobile.twitter.com/tuurdemeester/status/545993119599460353?lang=en

See? This one is also logarithmic as the other one above.

To me it looked like that curve was flattening to an extent that it would never hit the top data points again.
Edit: not talking about bubbles/anomalies here. Tracking that curve suggests that stable $20k+ prices will not occur.

If anyone needs something to do while waiting for shitcoins to implode to zero and for physical silver and gold to go up, I just released the mother of all content mods for the game Divinity Original Sin 2:

https://www.nexusmods.com/divinityoriginalsin2/mods/388

I have that game, but haven't played it yet.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

I see we had a bit of a dip, all the way down to where we were over a week ago...$6393USD/$8390CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Why does this always seem (lately) to happen when I'm short on cash to buy more coins?

I can't bitch though. It's only money and I'm not impoverished quite yet.

maybe it doesn't go down to 3xxx levels after all Smiley

That 3xxx nonsense is just wishful thinking by people who missed the boat (or panic sold at the bottom) and desperately want the price to go down.

That 3xxx nonsense is something that you just can't dismiss outright. Sure we all want the price to go over the moon. Possibly even higher. But there's no denying we're in a strong bear market right now. There's every chance that it will go down.

Well, ofcourse I'm wishing it to dip to 3xxx levels to get some cheap coins, but I'll buy some more anyways whatever the price. And I'm too scared to sell anything in this market, just buying.

I have that game, but haven't played it yet.

I havn't seriously gamed in over  a decade but the mods sound like they had a lot of thought put into them so this might be worth a try. Whats a good link to a gameplay explanation? The last RPG I enjoyed was NWN with the nephew. Now the only games I keep up with now are 4X and things like battletech and I go back and play MOM, MOO,Xcom and Dungeon Bowl II for shits and grins. Hmm, I may have to jump on a dungeon keeper game for the hell of it later, bullfrog was the shit.
There just is no depth in games these days.

Yes, I made that mistake once and never again. Of course after you miss out on 500X profit you missed the train and it ain't never coming back.

This is seriously the most boring season of Bitcorn I've lived through.

At least I was a miner previously to keep things exciting.

Maybe I should tune out until 2020 or something...

My gut tells me we're not going to end this year higher than we did last.

Nope
The bubble burst did. And it's not tamed, it's been dragged into an alley and had the shit kicked out of it.

Now it's groaning in a corner until a garbage truck runs it over in the morning.

Pretty certain of that myself but 6 months is a very long time in bitcoin, as we know anything can happen.

0-60 on gravel in 2.2 seconds...  perfect for the rural shopping run.

1.7 liters. 900 kg / 1980 lbs.  Over 750 kw / 1000 hp.  And this is in 1985.

I've always had a weakness for the group B stuff, have you seen the prices on the ex works quattros ?

I have begun to believe there is great Merit+ in walking away a bit from a "I AM CONSUMED BY ALL THINGS BITCORN" and feed the parts of my life that are also interesting and passions.  Especially during this sort of time.

Selling group B stuff used to be something I did. The really stupid aspect is how much the road going versions are these days, not too far off ex works examples.

Almost all of the road cars are slow as fuck and pretty horrid to drive, the road going Sport Quattro is the exception in terms of speed but you may as well go for all out terror.
