+1 WOsMerit Apparently yesterday was highest volume on CME ever Edit: sweet mother of god confirmed. Look at that volume candle. Redundant observation but a little redundancy never hurts. A for effort. fecescoinshillingredacted
wrong thread friend *looks around guiltily* Actually made me look to make sure. Carry on. +1 WOsMerit

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

National debts do not need to be "paid back". They just get re-denominated. There is not going to be any big "reset" other than a bunch of decimal places and then life will go on as normal.

Well, the problem would be when to sell if and when we get to somewhere between 100K and 1 mil. it would suck to sell a bit at 100K if 1000k (a mil) is following closely. In 2017 the price was both $800 and close to $20K, almost a 25-fold difference. Therefore, it is entirely possible (although not likely) that both 100K and 1000K would happen in the same cycle. Some mechanistic approach might be in order.
Seven figures, inflation notwithstanding, is surely decades away if it does happen. We can't just hype our way to a valuation greater than the world's major stock markets. That kind of money will require more pedestrian and sustained growth - a new era for price development. When I start thinking super hype with such phrases as global reserve currency and the new gold I always come back to supply and demand. After digging deeper still I get to the root of it and that is..are there seventeen and half to twenty one million other folk out there that are as crazy as me and value a fungible, portable store of value enough to pay one million dollars per unit? I cant answer that with a definitive no...hence accumulation.

A phase transition from fiat to btc/crypto might happen and would be much faster than "decades". Many people are penciling in the next ATH in 2021 at $100-400K. The ATH after that could be projected to occur in 2025 at $1mil or thereabout. Granted, this would require a large scale abandonment of fiat in favor of bitcoin/crypto. Can it happen? Perhaps.

How irresponsible would the monetary authorities have to be to allow a transition to crypto on a bubble? The transition needs to be soft and slow - one more in tune with the conservative pace of those who govern.

A bit optimistic, I being a tech guy have never used any "Mobile payment" only credit cards. Too much shit on my phone that I don't need to tie my fucking credit cards to them as well, I can just get the card out of my fucking wallet.

And we know that they have proven themselves, time and again, to be the very pillars of responsibility.

I'm living the dream tonight boys, I have a home, a a nice prch and some little furniture out there. This home was paid with a down payment of Bitcoin, and now anytime it moves up or down I get an email from the owner of the loan people. Last email I got was a link to join Morgan coin asking about it.
They were shocked when I told them I bought my first coin at $50
Congrats man.

2) Taxation is theft, Goddamnit.
I don't know what to think about taxes. I, begrudgingly, get it. It's the cost of doing business in fiat. (((They))) need (((their))) pound of flesh, so-to-speak, as new blood to grease (((their))) wheels. At least you have a shitcoin to pay them with.

Hopefully, you did not either disclose too much about your still existing BTC stash (if any) or provide them with an impression (or incentive) to attempt to knock you off, especially since they know where you live...

If you continue to recognize bitcoin as an asset that has decent odds for continued price appreciation, then it may have been too early to cash out too many coins on property that might not even come close to appreciating as well, of course, the balancing of factors would include several considerations beyond just calculations of appreciation potential of each of the assets including the fact that you would seem to be living in the property which is not as easily accomplished with the mere possession of a digital asset such as bitcoin...

I'm constantly monitoring the price of BTC, but we struggle to stay at $4,000 level.
Any chance for the 2nd pump?
What price will we land next?
Either 3.7 or 4.2 probably. Sideways in the meantime. Price is not moving until now, it only stays at $3,900, what are they waiting for, they should this up so once again we will have a party. I'm afraid it will go down, which is likely to happen, going up or down? I'm nervous thinking we will be back again and the hype will end.

I used to be a much bigger sports fan, I still watch games every now and then but I was wasting too much time watching sports. Might life doesn't change in the slightest if my team wins.
I can't prove it but I think you live longer if your team wins. Would seem more likely that you live shorter if your team loses. Which is not quite the same thing. Interesting take and entirely possible, why hasn't someone done a study?

Or it could go up. Currently, the odds seem to be a little bit more in favor of down, but I would not rule out up, completely. I hope that helps.
