Snip....

Do you have any (credible) source other than that Twitter account?

Couldn't find anything

.... I'm skeptical that he'd be that stupid. But who knows

Yes sir, you are right. I could not find any other source link apart from this tweet and this guy is so stupid.

He also says that:

Dude, that company has a 2.85 tril market cap.
Obviously, it had something that people wanted.
Jeez....I just go with what I want with price considerations being secondary....never bought a pro tower, though....no need.
Additionally, their hardware lasts (typically).

EDIT: It's an interesting philosophical question. Why people buy $5-6 coffee at starbucks when they can make as good a coffee at home for maybe 30c a cup? Is it a habit or a need to socialize with others who are maybe "well off". I was reading an article about designer clothes and bags in particular. It said that you can easily distinguish between a $100 and $3000 bag, but only people rich enough to buy $40 thou bags can distinguish between those and 3K bags. Same with watches. Some watches are to measure time or for decoration, but there are some that are just a status symbol. There are watches that cost multiple millions. It's strange, from my perspective, but if you are making hundreds of millions, if not billions every year, then what to spend (waste) it all on? Not every one of them could have a sports team.

I agree with you buddy! I'm also among those people who bought an iPhone and an iPad from that company, and I must say that their products are long lasting and are of really high quality. I still use the iPhone on daily basis and use iPad when I need that. It depends on a person's own choice and if their own desire to spend money on a product or something else. Although, I'm not interested in this "Apple Vision Pro," but "Apple" as a company has created some really useful devices and I appreciate that.

ipad = decent gear.

iphone = decent gear but i prefer samsung and motorolla

I used to soup up mac minis. sold hundreds of them on ebay.

I also prefer mac os over windows.

I am considering getting a studio mac in the next month.

For those who are interested in geopolitics..quite a sobering read:

https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2023/06/09/america-weapons-china-00100373

My hope remains that it would not come to blows...or my upcoming (in a few years) retirement would be utterly ruined.
The question is, though, why the f-k did we de-industrialize to the extent that we did?
