Illegal cab company? You mean Uber? Uber isn't illegal. It is a scam though. I hail a cab on a street corner, get dropped off at another street corner, and pay cash, my ride is totally private. Nobody takes my name, address, destination, banking information or any other sensitive information. The driver gets his money and has the choice of declaring his tip or not. I get to go where I'm going. No problem. As soon as you start using phones and credit cards anonymity is lost. There's permanent record of who you are, where you came from, where you went, and how much you paid. No thanks. Same is true with subway in NYC. Used to buy a token for 35 cents drop it in the turnstile and no one knew if you were on any subway. edit for 2 typos

Maintaining anonymity becomes more and more difficult over time.

No problem.

Same is true with subway in NYC. Used buy a token for 35% drop it in the turnstile and no one knew if you were on any subway. Same also in Toronto with the whole public transit system but they're trying to change that. They recently stopped selling subway tokens and they want to phase out tickets and cash on surface routes and get everybody using "Presto" smart cards. Their excuse is that 90% of passengers already use the cards. I haven't checked out how difficult it is to obtain a card anon-/pseudonymously. I still use metal coins. I'm a big baseball fan. I used to be able to walk up to the box office and buy a ticket anonymously with cash and then pay for a beer with cash. No cards or identification required (although I did get carded buying a beer when I was 60 years old). Now they've discontinued paper tickets and even scannable season ticket holder cards. Now you're obliged to bring an Android or Apple device to the ballpark and use their "Ballpark" application to display a moving barcode to be scanned at the gate. Last year you could print the QR codes for your tickets on paper and scan that. Not any more. Now you must physically bring a device to the park. The last thing I want to bring to a ball game is a telephone, especially one with a GPS that can be triangulated by cellular towers . To add insult to injury, they don't accept cash for beer anymore. Now you have to keep a permanent credit card record of every beer and hot dog along with the time of purchase. There is no freedom without anonymity. I'm constantly amazed by how many people don't care about freedom anymore.

Observing 27,413@stamp. In the meantime, Bitcoin difficulty reached another ATH: Ordinals had a massive shift in incentives toward miners, who profited from the elevated fees associated with latest blocks. Network nodes, on the contrary, suffered all the costs of an heavier blockchain, trough heavier blocks and obvious consequences in terms of hardware requirements and bandwidth usage. The difficulty has exploded since adjustment: still too early to have a reliable extimate, but we currrnrlty are + 17% forecast, being 8 blocks ahead after 22 blocks in the new epoch: Latest Block: 790302 (5 minutes ago) Current Pace: 136.4318% (31 / 22.72 expected, 8.28 ahead) Previous Difficulty: 48005534313578.78 Current Difficulty: 49549703178592.68 Next Difficulty: between 49995515825016 and 70004694893433 Next Difficulty Change: between +0.8997% and +41.2818% Previous Retarget: Today at 6:59 AM (+3.2166%) Next Retarget (earliest): May 28, 2023 at 1:16 PM (in 10d 2h 29m 23s) Next Retarget (latest): June 1, 2023 at 4:15 AM (in 13d 17h 28m 29s) Projected Epoch Length: between 10d 6h 16m 36s and 13d 21h 15m 42s

Observing corn@28,340. Classic WO game. Where am I? Pretty easy I must say. Given the provided information, where am I going in the next 20 minutes? No more hints? Turning 180° (detail) Is my mind playing tricks on me or is part of the quote in my reply disappearing? The talkimg.com images behave strangely. Not why I was posting though... Anymore hints? I know more than I ever wanted to know about David Colville and his sons, John, David Jr and Archibald but it didn't help me to figure out where you were.

Indeed talkimg strangely behave from time to time. Regarding the quiz, I will give you a final hint: This piece of art has been modelled after an infamous post here on the WO I believe…

#ledgercrap this is what you get with closed source systems... from the horse's mouth: Technically speaking it is and always has been possible to write firmware that facilitates key extraction. You have always trusted Ledger not to deploy such firmware whether you knew it or not.https://twitter.com/Ledger_Support/status/1658892462440456192

soon possible for all Ledger owners... 🤡 Bitcoiners will run from stuff like this but I’m certain there are people out there who will utilize these types of options to buy BTC since they weren’t comfortable having to be responsible for their own funds. In other news… Markets including Bitcoin seemed to cheer on the news that Joe Biden says the US will be able to continue taking on more debt. I doubt there will ever be a US president, UK prime minister or EU leader who will seriously say "look we can't pay our bills, it's gotten completely out of control. We can't even afford the ridiculous interest on our debt, so we have to massively tighten handouts and reduce the size of the state as a result." But, eventually, a decision will be made for these people, there is no other way. Unless of course they keep inflation in the 5-10% territory. Depends what they do with the money. The US spends it on a gigantic military basically, so who is going to come for a complaint if they stop paying ?

Such a lonely day, and it's mine (we reading W.O without Chartbuddy) The most loneliest day of my life Such a lonely day should be banned It's a day that I can't stand (even a JayJuanGee wall text cant prevent us to falling on darkmode) The most loneliest day of my life The most loneliest day of my life Such a lonely day shouldn't exist It's a day that I'll never miss Such a lonely day, and it's mine The most loneliest day of my life And if you go, I wanna go with you (the whole W.O gang if Chartbuddy no comeback) And if you die, I wanna die with you (the same as above) Take your hand and walk away
