Japan Launches Digital Yen Pilot Project After Second Successful Proof of Concept

The Bank of Japan (BOJ) has completed the second phase of its central bank digital currency (CBDC) proof-of-concept (POC) experiment. The POC ran for a year and focused on implementing financial system stability safeguards investigating payment usability and experimenting with backend database language and ledger design. The POC was declared a success and the Bank of Japan has now started its CBDC pilot which will include further testing of the end-to-end process and collaboration with private companies. By 2026 the Japanese public will finally decide whether to issue a CBDC through discussions.

Stop dreaming about it, and also BTC doesnt want to be that, BTC its a reserve of value more than a day to day coin, that was proved several times. Lets other coins be used for day to day and Gresham law work.
