What definitely catches the eye is the following text :

It wasn't clear if the ETF will be spot or futures. BlackRock did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
To date, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which oversees ETFs in the U.S., has rejected every application for a spot bitcoin ETF, though it has approved several bitcoin futures ETFs for trading.

In other words, if it's another futures ETF, I don't see it making any significant difference considering all those who already do business in the U.S. Besides, the SEC is on the war foot and somehow it doesn't seem to me that they would approve the first spot ETF BTC, although maybe it's a matter of timing considering that the deadline in which the SEC gives its finally thought is even 240 days from filling.

The market looks like it really wants to close the head and shoulders pattern and send us back to $20K according to the chart. I’m impressed with all the buying that seems to be fighting it but I wonder if the buyers will be able to stop the pattern from completing. From what I’m reading, most of the buying is coming from big banks, which seems unusual timing given the credit crunch they are experiencing.

Head shoulders 20k
Cup handle 50k

Those patterns are really noise imo

We should be at +40k for my thinking and will get there, I guess even not that long …. We will see what the coin is gonna bring …

Good news. Mum is going to rehab next week. I was fighting hard for that, the usual waiting time is around 8 weeks

The news of Blackrock buying a ton of BTC had me thinking we’re near the bottom for now, but it appears they are going to file for the right to launch an ETF. Not sure why this one would be approved when others have failed for a decade, but with all of Blackrock’s connections and money, I doubt they’d do this unless they already knew they’d get approved. Bullish as bullish gets on those long term prospects.
