FED deserves it. with their "we print, you pay" policy.. there should be huge buy bitcoin billboard in front of every central bank office
Make sure you back up your wallet regularly! Unlike a bank account, nobody can help you if you lose access to your BTC.

I've been out of the game for a while.... questions:

What are the chances of a split chain on this upcoming Aug 1st drama?

Are most of you holding your coins?

If there is a split chain that survives.... will Coinbase give you access to both chains?

Thanks

These are the questions. That's for sure.

Lol.

  • Judging by the way they handled the ETH fork - probably. Better just to store it yourself.

Alphabay, a huge anonymous market which supposedly pulled an exit scam on its users. Could possibly be a reason why Bitcoin's price is going down right now. Chaos is ensuing right now as other anonymous markets are shut down as well or closed their doors to new registrants as people flood to find alternatives.

Smh, how many times does the same scam have to repeat before people realise that this isn't a good way to organise their transactions?

Maybe it was r0ach holding the sign. That would explain why he is so silent today Grin

CNBC made a connection with immediate bitcoin price rise after this, which is silly
Quote
Bitcoin subsequently climbed toward session highs and traded 3.7 percent higher, at $2,418.46, as of 2:27 p.m. ET, according to CoinDesk.

The unidentified bitcoin proponent, whose stunt was visible on television, was removed from the hearing room. Holding up the sign violates the House committee's rules. Committee staffers told CNBC they didn't know who the man's name.
was removed..

On this date ..."

"Jihan Wu, Bitmain CEO, already opined that he will hard fork regardless of whether UASF succeeds or fails. It is not guaranteed that a hard fork could happen without issues, but this is the best time from their perspective to attempt one. Should it succeed, Bitcoin will quickly erase all prior losses and surpass $3,000. "

So the market will be delighted that a handful of Chinese miners are in full control of Bitcoin?

That's a really fucking stupid supposition.
