One side will be wiped out.
No, this is more like a total war. There will be radioactivity and fallout falling on scorched cryptoland

Such drama.

If Bitcoin would be fatally hurt by all this, it would not have survived anyway.

It’s called the Honey Badger and that is a feature, not a bug.

Last edit: November 11, 2017, 11:42:00 PM by conspirosphere.tk

Monday is going to be the start of an interesting week

If I had sold some more than I did in the 7K now I would stack some bids between 4.5K and 6K. I expected a strong correction since the high 5K in October so this is nothing yet for the moment. But it's to be seen if the huge backlog in the mempool persists thanks to the ongoing spam attack and the halving of hashing power could start a panic as the bitches hope.

edit:
and this confirms that BCH is a totally fake pump:

I wonder how much an effect the lowering of hashing power will have. let's face it, most people who buy btc do so to hold it, and the hash rate has no effect on transfering fiat to the exchanges to buy btc. I don't think slower blocks matter at all, might actually slow down the selling it it slows people from transfering from cold storage to the exchange.

Unless significant hash power leaves all at once, no effect. On that note when is the next retargeting, most likely that's when they'll act

The thing is nobody is using BCH, their blocks are empty. But let's say that a significant amount of hashing power leaves for good (80% or so) and the users of bitcoin flee because of slow block times for the week or 2 before a difficulty adjustment. Why would they go to bitcoin cash, when they can go to other better and more established alts.

This BCH pump is being driven by only the few whales who support it. Their egos have got to them, they think they are smart, and only make correct moves because they are rich and successful. Because of these egos they believe that if they just build it (pumping the price) everyone will flock to them, its delusional, and borderline sociopathic. They are kind of like the leaders of small cult, the literally think they are gods and can do no wrong.

November 10th was the last adjustment (btc). Because of the slower block times now, its 19 days until the next with a current estimate of -24%. So expect the battle to continue until then at least and it could get worse as BCH is much more profitable to mine atmo. When does BCH retarget though?

Since BCH is in supersonic mode right now, the difficulty will probably go up 4x, sometime tomorrow, or early Monday. However, the magical mystery miners may not attempt to stop mining to enact the EDA since the new retarget algo will come on the 13th anyway.
https://www.bitcoinabc.org/november
Starting on the 13th, just after 7:06 pm, BCH will change difficulty every single block. This should stop the profit switching. We will see if any miners, besides the two magical mystery miners, will stick around. I suspect they will all just go back to mining BTC and Wu's two farms will mine BCH all by their lonesome with a sprinkle of other miners who mine BCH just because they hate Core.

That may help those bitches to think again about bitcoin. If they diversified into it now they could still have something instead of being suddenly destitute (and BTC capitalization would be at least an order of magnitude greater).

people panic, things happen fast.

i don't really think BTC is dying, that's just silly. not THAT fast. too much money to generate that kind of momentum. but i've seen what happens when people think there's a reason to panic. they panic, which causes the reason to panic to actually occur, causing more panic. case in point, just after hurricane harvey, people in dallas, well away from where the storm hit, thought there was going to be a gas shortage, to everybody went and tried to fill up. this CAUSED a gas shortage to actually happen, and it was days before all the gas stations where restocked. because of the panic, there were lines, accidents, and actual fist fights, all when, in reality, nothing was actually wrong.

looking back on it, it's fascinating.
