I think they're going to aim for over 0.5 if they can. This is the push of pushes and it won't be half arsed.

I was right. Wish I'd been awake to grab it. Just when you think this scene can't get more depraved it turns around and makes you proud.

Congrats Rockstar on a the .5 call !

Cheers

Wow. Last few days have been like a hurricane. It's flying everywhere.
I decided to increase my BTC stash and bought in when it was around $7000.
Sold my BCH for BTC when it was aroudn $600.
Now I am confused. I will admit that I clearly do not understand what to do.
Should I hodl the BTC I bought @7000 or should I exchange it for an alt or BCH.
I need help.

Beautiful, just amazing how people lose their mind when they become greedy . Enjoy the dumpfest you deserve it

I need help.

No one can help you except yourself ,just NEVER buy at the top.. NEVER

Everybody wants some profit. That's why you invest in the first place. Secondly, if I was just "greedy" I would have already sold my BTC for BCH and jumped on the bandwagon. Instead I sold my BCH early on because I believed in the true Bitcoin.
7000 was never the top when 2x was in place. Then it was called off and everything went bonkers. All I am looking for is to understand what's going on.

Can you name one advantage BCH offers over LTC or other ALTs? If not, then it's never a good idea to invest into something that you don't know. Emotional trading will just get you in trouble and will just make exchange money on their fees. Trade fundamentals and what you understand.
I agree with that because if you do one trade wrong you can lose a lot of money that is why you need to be sure you know what you are doing because we are actually playing with money and i do not think you want to lose it all.

Sometimes it helps to observe things from a different perspective... 3-day candles.

Yes it always does help to actually observe things from different perspectives and thank you that you are doing that for us we appreciate it very much because we would not be able to do that without you.

Craig Wright - Fake Satoshi who tried to con everybody.
Roger - Who told you Mt Gox and Bitcoin Unlimited were safe, and joined all possible BTC fork initiatives since day one.
Jihan - Mining/chip mafia leader and Antbleed purveyor.

What could possibly go wrong with BCH?

To everybody that tries to make money by "trading" BCH. Don't let those stooges make money from you! It is a highly centralized insiders market. If you still have some crapcoins unsold just sell them and let the gang boil in their own sauce.

Quote
The fastest and cheapest transaction fee is currently 950 satoshis/byte, shown in green at the top.
For the median transaction size of 226 bytes, this results in a fee of 214,700 satoshis.

Probably an overestimation. Just wait until the hashrate is back up as it should be.

Actually I think this BTC/BCH drama is concerted between the involved parties to escalate conflict and take us off the boredom of a constant bullish run. The miners switch networks to provoke a correction, to ensure the bulls can rest a little.

BCH was created with the sole purpose of creating FUD, to tremble weak hands. Its a whale business.

It was the same with the China ban before. PBOC bought some bitcoins, and now China wants the exchanges back.

BTC -160915 Unconfirmed  transactions and rising   Huh Huh Huh

Is this an attack? Is it orchestrated by the you know who's?

It's more like BCH trying to survive. All things being equal (sha256, 10 minutes block target) a lower value chain cannot attract enough miners to operate at a proper functional level. It is destined to experience periods of very slow blocks and then very fast blocks, as difficulty readjusts.

In order to circumvent this, asymmetric mining (bumps difficulty down every once in a while when blocks are slow - but has no counterbalancing slowing down to cure the extra emission) has been employed which increases the inflation rate a lot. In BCH's short life, it has already pumped out 120.000 more coins[1] to become "more attractive" for mining. This is not sustainable for multiple reasons.

If you fix the much-increased inflation rate to become more viable for the future, then you lose your attractiveness as a mining option - because all things being equal, the coins mined are less valuable. Plus BTC also offers fee incentives (3-4-5-6 btc per block).

The only hope that BCH has if it wants to survive (without a non-viable inflationary emission), is to increase its value. A lot. This pump might have been related to trying to make BCH a bit more viable prior to its next hard fork that will supposedly "fix" the asymmetric inflationary emission. But if this gets fixed, then you go back to being unattractive for mining - and thus getting a slow chain that can only be maintained by the "charity" of miners who operate at a loss, or rape-mined when its difficulty is low enough to attract mining attention (and then left hanging at a high diff again).

I don't see how this can get fixed...
