OMG, where do I get the Asperger coin?!?!? HAH!
When you do imma fork it and tell everybody your chain has aids. You'll have to shoot bigger than that. As far as I'm aware aids isn't really anywhere near as deadly as it used to be anymore, so it kind of lost its punch. Aids and segwit then.

Look like wily Barry Silbert's got us all primed for introduction of CME futures ... bit more sideways now wouldn't hurt at all for the long term bullish case intact.
Ver ... sheesh, I mean, wow, whiny ragequit of the century?

What's with all the appeals to authority here? I thought Bitcoiners were rugged free market individualists who were open to anything going.

Had to go dark for a few days doing some international travel. Just arrived to Ho Chi Minh and checked in on the bitcoin shop on Bui Vien. They've got a 2 way bitcoin atm machine and a crypto counter buying and selling the top 15 or so. The limits were fairly decent per transaction , about 10k. This is my game changer. No longer will I need to travel with stacks of cash, dodge or declare to customs. Glad I missed the Wu-Ver-Wright FUD. Not expecting it to be over quite yet although I'm not even concerned about it. Go Bitcoin! [img http://[/img]

No appeals to authority. It's the wild wild west. Jihan Wu and Roger Ver both have extremely punch-able faces. And if I ever see the day that I cross the same corridor with either of them, well....I can't necessarily be responsible for what happens next. And I can tell you that Roger's silly Jujitsu won't help him.

Exchange rates and fees are often unreasonable. Crypto is going to make things so much easier. This post brought a shimmer of light to me in the otherwise dark weekend in the bitcoin world.

That entire pdf is the biggest load of crap I've ever seen. It sounds like it was written by a 3rd grader. And there's a lot of "We the Management will manage things better for you" garbage rhetoric. So centralized management will decide what's best for the lowly masses. Got it. Our pic'a'nic bear really is not arguing in good faith. At least we see through him. Seems you _might_ be referring to me, though I have no idea why.

When dust settled I ended up with more bitcoins. Bitcoin enemies ended up with more altcash. Hope everybody is happy now.
I expect new ATH beyond $8k next week. Bitcoin future is bright. It successfully cleans itself from all bitcoin haters.

Found these questions popping up, interesting.
1) What is segwit?
2) Who is behind segwit?
3) Who is Blockstream?
4) Is bitcoin broken?
5) Why is it not?
6) Why do they say it is?
7) How long has block size debate being going on?
8 ) What are side chains?
9) How do side chains solve blocksize debate?
10) How does network, storage and cpu upgrades help blocksize?
11) Why is bitcoin unique to other coins?
12) Who would want bitcoin broken?
13) Why does bitcoin lag in software development?
14) What is unique about the bitcoin software environment?
15) Why is trust and transparency important?
There is one very simple answer. Segwit makes bitcoin sidechains possible. Only sidechains can solve the scaling problem. There won't be one solution for the scaling problem. There will be many sidechains. Because different people have different ideas about money. Competition between bitcoin sidechains will show us the way. Sidechains, i was talking about sidechains to my wife all the time. She didn´t think about it as funny. C´m on, a man has to have his sidechains, otherwise he´s going down the drain Seriously.

$5000 is my mental stop-loss. I really hope it holds. Are they dumping in an attempt to maximize damage? I mean there are probably more subtle methods of cashing out.
Damage, otherwise as you said, there are subtle ways. Do you think it is not likely that this is people shifting their portfolios into BCH now that the 2MB upgrade at block 494,784 was cancelled? Or people that sold all their BCH rethinking the wisdom of that decision? BCH split will be epic weeee Not as epic as when BCH has to hardfork (for the 13th time) to increase the 21 million limit because they ran out of coins to mine from the broken accelerated mining EDA/DDA clusterfeck and there are no fees ...
