I deleted the posts in question. Altcoin shilling/trolling was never actually allowed here, but the rules were never enforced strictly.

I normally tolerate it from regulars like jbreher and Peter R, but they've been emboldened lately. And I've been receiving a lot more complaint PMs recently.

It's too bad you don't have ban powers.  Re-posting of deleted posts should be met with a temporary ban.

Bitcoin is starting to come back to himself and I think it will be back to his old level in a few weeks.

More moderation than suppression if you ask me

Only the 10% or do that you quoted. My original post -- replying to several others besides you -- has been deleted.

That has not been the only post of mine deleted today either.

Couldn't have said it better myself  Wink  Why risk picking the wrong horse?

Of course, since you said it yourself, so you couldn't have said it any better, only the same as, yourself. The wrong horse sometimes is the second one that came after the first, but I'm sure you could think of the alternative, or the alt. for short.

BCH would have been better if it forked with it's own address format, it's own PoW, ... but no, they didn't.

Reason is simple. The purpose of the fork is not to make a better bitcoin. The purpose is to cripple bitcoin.

I agree. It's an attack. Sort of like a 51% attack, but thrown at a different angle. Or maybe it's a form of Stress Test. Maybe the guys behind it are actually White Hat Hackers doing a pen test. But they couldn't just make their own alt with the larger block.

So the CME group punted another month. Not ready yet.  Hmmm...

Sideways until then? Or slowly grind upwards?

Sounds like Novogratz took a big long bet. That's encouraging.

Novogratz been buying ... he's like a traditional hodler. Buy. Buy. Then buy some more. He also bought ETH and some other Alts.

But I wonder, what do they exactly mean by Bitcoin? With all the forks and especially the VerWuCoin, being so vocal and omnipresent, would that not be a bit confusing for all these
VSP 's?

Nah, Mike N. said his group is getting bitcoin through the Gemini daily auctions. I'm sure that's where a lot of big players likely will go, and the WinkleVii are not auctioning any alts other than ETH.

They're only vocal in the Bitcoin echo chamber. Hedge fund managers will not be on r/btc.

I can't imagine 'buy bitcoin cash plus 3x' is right up there in google trends at the moment.

I guess the question is then... Will they add to their hedge fund futures or actual bitcoins? :/
If the former, we actually do not care

... or you know like, if they really believed in the free market and that their ideas are so much better they could have started their own coin with their own genesis block. I guess they must be afraid of true competition in the free market of great ideas and need to piggy-back or hijack whatever else that is good around. I think they call these people parasites or sociopaths that behave in that way?

Jack Bogle claims that there is $300B sitting on the sidelines in the stock market at any given time.

Man, if we could just get a fraction of that into bitcoin next year...  Shocked

We do care because there will be arbitrage between the derivative contracts and actual bitcoin which should keep the prices closely aligned.
