Those US residents who dumped for tax filing reasons yesterday are probably buying back now it's lunch time on January the 2nd in the USA.
That makes no sense. Last year was a huge run up so you would not sell at the end of the year but sell this year if you want to defer paying taxes on it in the short term but even that isn’t the most efficient. US taxpayer best case is long term capital gains which is 366 days from purchase so end of year or not doesn’t matter. Yup, artful bodger doesn't know what they are talking about. US Taxes also don't permit wash sales, which are selling at the end of the year and then buying back within 30 days. And even if they did, why would they sell to lock in gains??

It sounds so complicated I suspect most Americans don't fully understand it either. My speculation was based on a comment someone else made.

That is the intent. The entire system is based on deception, obscurity and fraud. Hear me one time Donald; abolish the IRS and they will carve your face on Mt. Rushmore.

Wow, Gold continuing its bull tear since Dec.
Insiders must be thinking (knowing?) we'll get some bad news this year. They're always 6-12 months ahead of the public.

WOW gold? isn't that like that bitcoin thing? Gold that thing with lots of mothball mine's waiting to come out of retirement when gold is worth x. with modern extraction techniques that make the old days and numbers comparison totally obsolete. *edit* in fact lets just say it they don't extract that to keep the price up. Ask yourself what is manipulation.

Why is it that bitcoin, bitcoin cash, eth, and ripple are now all moving in the same direction. I thought they were antagonistic?

(1) They've been moving in the same direction this entire year, and longer. (2) More money is flowing into the market; 670 billion is a tiny amount of money. It needs to be trillions before any major losses. (3) There are multiple roles for coins - they need not directly compete. Truth is, sometimes they are antagonistic, and sometimes they are not. You still believe in $5500? How about $8000? Maybe it will happen, but first 20k at least.

There's usually a very direct correlation. There still is with alts in general but nothing as stark as that.

If it goes into a 2011/2014 style extended bear market it could even reach $3000 after a year or two. Yes it could go higher first too. The lows arent based on the highs, they're based on previous ATH.

We must stick with his original target of "at least 3000, possibly less" I must remind this, just in case
